When she is a sitter, Mo brings the resident out of the room to engage in activities. Very attentive with so much compassion. Not only is my resident very social, but she is also very interactive when Mo brings her out of her room to enjoy others company. Meals, snacks and nibbles are always given when Mo is sitting. Both providers were excellent. Good communications, flexibility where needed, and personal attention that went beyond the minimum to help me begin my recovery. I am now in my fourth week, and my recovery continues at a rapid pace...which I attribute largely to really good nursing and physical therapy assistance. In fact, the first visit by the PT NURSE just might have led in saving my life! She routinely checked blood pressure, and discovered it was precipitously low. She made sure, called the doctor, and that led to Emergency Room treatment that corrected an internal bleeding issue and allowed me to continue recovering. I have found Kindred HomeCare personnel --Erin, Angela (PT), Hannah and Jessica (nurses) to be professional, yet warm and friendly, and very effective. I commend them without reservation. But after 9 days of my mother-in-law being at the Commons we took her out!!! The staff are very inexperienced with the special needs that my mother-in-law requires, she has dementia and gastroparesis, which requires a very special diet. On the first day she was there they gave her foods she could not eat. The staff played on their phones every time I visited her in the short time of 9 days. They never welcomed her to make her feel at home and when we went to visit she would be crying and she would say take me home. Well with that being said we got her home to find bruises on her backside and bruised up and down her arms. Please, please before you put your loved one in a facility think twice. Left a bad taste in my mouth as we expected a bit more compassion for my mother-in-law. She is in her own home now with a live in nurse and security cameras and happy. So if you ask me how was her stay at Savannah Commons?? Awful!!!
