Even though you can buy the same products online at cheaper discounted rates, I find my loyalty lies in places like this because of the one on one attention you get from a real live actual person who can walk you through the steps of nutrition, vitamins, supplements, etc To get you in the best shape for FREE! In free, I don't mean their products are free, I mean their advice and knowledge information is free! lol I honestly cant say enough good things about all the help they have provided me through the years. Its been 3yrs since I took off the weight and kept it off and I still go in at least once/month to buy products and get advice. They also carry some organic natural skin and body care products that I love and really are much better than the big name expensive stuff. They can also walk you through that and what ingredients are key to what you are looking for and how they make it cheaper. (I have asked this in the past "I dont understand, how is this cheaper if its the same thing?") Awesome, Awesome, AWESOME! Oh, and you can become a mailing list member and get coupons!

We walked up to the register with a handful of items and the employee awkwardly made us move to a different register than the one he was standing out. Not sure why the interaction at the register is like this at every Vitamin Shoppe. It appears to be in the training manual to make the customers feel as unwanted as possible, while also trying to sell me a bag for 50 cents. FYI, some of the protein bars are a little cheaper on Amazon.

If you've seen one GNC, you've seen 'em all, right? Not so…read more.. I worked for GNC about 8-10 yrs ago and I can tell you they are definitely not all created equal. That's why I give this one 5-stars. I'm gonna skip the things that are common to ALL GNCs like the "Gold Card" or the "BOGO" deals. This is about what makes or breaks THIS GNC. Last I was there it was run by Will. I got to know him pretty well and his work ethic is astounding. He has incredible attention to detail and is sincerely concerned that each customer find exactly what they are looking for, or gets introduced to whatever will precisely meet their needs. You can tell he recognizes you as a person and wants to really help you. The store is very neat and has, to my eye, always been well-stocked with all the majorly sought after items. If, for example, you're looking for a specific type of health bar, chances are you're gonna find it here and in good supply. Natural cosmetics and beauty supplies are abundant and there's always some neat gadgets kickin' around that help support and maintain health like back massagers, etc. The other nice thing about this GNC is that it's right next to route 128 which makes it easily accessible for many miles. You don't have to park and then walk deep into a mall -- the door is like 7-8 feet from the parking lot. There's a GameStop, BlockBusters and Package Delivery in the same bldg, too. In fact, there's a big plaza there with a CVS, Panera, Sporting Goods and grocery shopping so if you have to get something at a GNC, you'll be able to get other errands done in one stop.

My first grocery store review and it's mostly in part to give a special shoutout to an employee…read morenamed Owen who works in the butcher department. These stars are for you! Owen approached us after noticing our confused and puzzled looks while in the chicken section. We wanted to buy a whole chicken (in retrospect a huge undertaking for two novices). We literally had no idea what we were looking at/for. We would pick up a package, try and gather as much information as we could from reading the label, and put it back down. We did this a few times before Owen came to our rescue. Not only did Owen share with us his impressive knowledge of the best whole chicken to purchase, he even offered to spatchcock the chicken for us (a free service I had no idea Whole Foods did for already packaged non in-store products). It was not a surprise that Owen did an amazing job with our chicken and packaged it immaculately. He even included the chicken scraps and bones, wrapped separately. Owen left a huge impression on us and we look forward to seeing his cheerful demeanor and helpful attitude every time we visit this Whole Foods location. He is also polite and a great conversationalist! Time and time again, Owen goes above and beyond what he is expected to do. Keep up the excellent attitude and work ethic, Owen! The last time I visited the butchers, I heard from Owen that he is planning to go back to school and cut down to part time work. I sincerely hope the best for him and in all his future endeavors! Besides our great experience at the butchers, this Whole Foods location is solid. It can get pretty busy sometimes on the weekends and in the middle of the day during the weekdays, but it's clean and decently big in here so I don't mind the crowding as much. We constantly purchase our produce from here and they are young, fresh and last a while in our fridge. There are no floral staff members to wrap flowers you purchase here though (I've never seen anyone behind the flower counter). They also do not have any Whole Foods brand fresh bread or a bread slicing machine here. They do carry bread packaged from other brands here though. The Whole Foods cafe (for the brown butter cookie lattes) seems to be closed indefinitely.
