THIS STORE IS AWESOME :)…read more Everyone is super welcoming and helpful the moment you walk in, and I'm super grateful they always give me advice when it comes to choosing between the whole bunch of options on the shelf. There are always great promotions going on and I always walk away excited to try new protein snacks or powders. I'll literally go out of my way to stop by this GNC instead of the sad health and diet aisle at another store because they always have what I want and usually have something exciting happening (still have my GHOST haul I got for free + more )

Christine at the register asked me if I wanted to buy anything else, because there were actually a lot of things you could get half off of as part of the promotion. She recommended a collagen supplement to me that I decided to get. Plus, she noticed from my ember record that I usually got a different chocolate flavor of the Wheybolic than I was getting, and offered to get the other kind for me. I appreciated that because I do like the flavor I am used to! I do find that the GNC employees seem well informed in general, but Christine really went out of her way for me! Looking forward to having better hair, skin, joints, and nails from the collagen!

Being of the curious type, of course I took a peek to see what was down there. I opened the door and made my way down the extra narrow stairway. The further down the stairs I went, the more glass jars and plastic buckets of herbs I saw. Just as I reached the last step and stood safely in the store I was greeted by two wonderfully pleasant Asian women, you know just like your mom or grandmother. The selection of their herbs, dried flowers, dried mushrooms, rare berries and some Asian natural medical items was impressive. The women seemed so happy to show me around the store and answer all my questions. I did not arrive with a list of herbs I wanted/needed. However they had some Organic Goji Berries which I had to purchase since the Organic ones are far and few between. And I decided to treat myself with a treat of Korean Ginseng Candy imported from Korea which is another hard to find item. I will return when I need to replenish some herbs and teas to see what they have. The prices seemed to be very fair and the atmosphere was great thanks to the wonderful ladies who helped me out. They also had a wall covered with a large apothecary chest, so I assume but forgot to inquire if they mix herbs for you. My guess is most definitely :). Please put this shop on your next trip to Chinatown. FYI to enter store use the glass door located between the Gourmet Dumpling House and Quik Pic BBQ be careful entering the first step is a doozy.
