Walking in, I waited in a short line to check in; they scan your ID and buzz you in. The place was cleanand organized. I was greeted by a person giving out free cookies (which were delicious). I was helped out immediately by a sales associate and she showed me the kiosk to look for products to order. The whole process was quick and easy. The place was bustling since it's right on the busy Newbury St. Also a big plus is, this place is owned by BIPOC (black, indigenous, and other people there of color).

Christine at the register asked me if I wanted to buy anything else, because there were actually a lot of things you could get half off of as part of the promotion. She recommended a collagen supplement to me that I decided to get. Plus, she noticed from my ember record that I usually got a different chocolate flavor of the Wheybolic than I was getting, and offered to get the other kind for me. I appreciated that because I do like the flavor I am used to! I do find that the GNC employees seem well informed in general, but Christine really went out of her way for me! Ive been here 3 times. The first two times, i came in the middle of their store hours after double…read morechecking the hours online. Both times i got there and the door was locked with no explanation on the front door. Plus, the hours were on the front door stating that they should have been open. The third time, they were open. I came in and bought some pre-workout. I opened it the next day to find it was unsealed and all of the preworkout powder was hard as a rock. Plus, the scooper (which usually is buried) was sitting on the top as if someone opened it up and took a scoop before it was sold. Now i dont blame the vitamin shoppe for this one because the preworkout had plastic shrink wrap on the outside, so it probably happened before vitamin shoppe got it, but overall bad vibes. i returned it and while i was going to grab a replacement, i decided to look up the preworkout on amazon. It was $35 on amazon as opposed to the $45 vitamin shoppe price and same day delivery... so i wont go to vitamin shoppe again. Plus highland ave is a pain in the arse.
