I stopped going here 2 years ago. They are terrible. I was told to calm down by a person doing the drying when I asked him to wipe off the running board as it was wet. They lost 5 cars that used to get washes there faithfully. Next time put customer first. Yes I filed a complaint and no one ever returned my call. read more

I love this car wash! I'm on the unlimited wash monthly plan and can't say enough positive things. These negative reviewers wash their car twice a year and expect it to be detailed. Cmon. Nicest people and they do a fine job. In and out in 5 minutes. read more

Average car wash. Attention to detail was lacking. Too expensive to not have it perfect. 50 dollars for half done vacuum, dirty windshield and black streaks on trunk area is not acceptable. When asking for additional cleaning I was made to feel like I was irritating them and needed to move my car to accommodate the customers after me. read more

Just got the silver car wash with interior clean and floor mats at the Maple Grove location. I figure since I was the only vehicle they would do a great job. Well it turns out it was the worst car ever done for $33.28. When I showed the manager that the inside was not even touch he replied that I did not paid for a full detail. There is a reason they are not busy. I would have got a better wash for $9 at the next door Hoilday gas station. I still would have had to clean the inside myself but would have save $24. Poor service and poor quality will hopefully shut this place down so it can be replace with a Chick-Fil-a!!! read more

Paid for inside and outside cleaning and detailing. I dropped it off around 8:30, they called around 12:30 it was done. When I picked it up the windows had not been cleaned, they didn't put my seat cover back in or any of my other things, I had to go back for them. No one knew what was going on. I've been a customer of this car wash for over a decade! I also frequent the Chanhassen location now and then. I cant say enough about how satisfied I am after every visit in both locations! The staff is always friendly and know exactly how I like my particular luxury car washed. The manager Riley E. even helped me special order a washer blade that was needed to be replaced. Two hours later it was at the shop ready to be picked up. Saved me time in my busy schedule! It's sure is nice to find the old school customer service in a new fresh business today! Don't go here if you're expecting anything more than Wal-Mart level service. I've tried this place 3 times hoping to like it as I'm fairly new to the area. I tried calling today to schedule detail work on my truck and the lady was the opposite of pleasant. Unfortunately this is indicative of what happens when a good family business grows and the family isn't running it anymore and the people are running it don't care about the customer. Sad. read more

My 2007 Camry was starting to show its age. After at least 3 Minnesota winters without being detailed I made an appt here at Youngstedt's in Excelsior. When I arrived, a lovely woman greeted me promptly, and the gentleman doing the work even offered to drive me home while my car was being cleaned. Not necessary, but I really appreciated the gesture. A few hours later I picked up what looked like a new car. My Camry looks fantastic! This is the best detail my car has ever had! Every nook and cranny is not only clean but sparkles. My headlights are clear again, my leather seats feel softer, my floors and mats are clean. It's wonderful! And their price is totally competitive with other car wash companies. I've always been disappointed with Youngstedt's Car Wash in Excelsior, and my disappointments were true again the evening of 9/24/2020. I paid for wheel cleaning and I only observed them spray something on driver side but not passenger side. The passenger side employee ran a stiff bristle brush over the hood of my car (brush meant for bugs and windshield only?). I was the only customer there and the guys did a really poor job drying my car. I went home and dried it in my garage, just like I do after getting a $5.99 wash at Kwik Trip - which I can get 3 washes there for what I paid at Youngstedt's. Further, I called back and gave feedback about the same price exterior wash at Gehrings (Wayzata). There they dry door jams and use air to blow water out of channels - making the car properly dry. Last. I was told the GM would call me. Well, after 48 hours I've not gotten a call back. This poor customer service and low value proposition is the reason I stopped getting oil changes at Youngstedt's in Chaska. Wake up people. I hope this review is a wake up to customers and the family. read more

Great car wash, as always! I was visiting the area and borrowed my friend's car, so I wanted to bring it back sparkling. I like the human touch with the bugs being sprayed, then at the end, a wipe down of the car and the inside cracks of each door. Great job. read more

YOU ARE NOT A PRIORITY as the customer! The Excelsior location has very unsatisfactory management. I was over charged by over $50.00 and have place over 25+ phone calls trying to solve this issue. They only refunded me half of what they owe me. They are very difficult to contact. With the amount of time I have spent trying to get my money back I should be getting free car washes for a year. They continue to say they will solve the problem but they NEVER do. Do NOT waste your time here. read more

I don't write Yelp reviews, but feel compelled to warn others who may use this car wash. I paid more than $30.00 for the inside of my car to be vacuumed and wiped down, and the glass cleaned. After the first round was "completed," I checked the work. The inside of the doors and the console had not been touched; the trunk had not been wiped down. I asked 2 of the 5 guys who were working on my car to return and address these missing areas. They did, however, I cleaned my own trunk using one of rags. I came home and again wiped down my own console. I went to address this with the woman who originally took my order because I feel it's important do these things in person, however she was on the phone with another client who was also lodging a complaint. STAY AWAY! I live in the Excelsior area, this wash is close to my house and I drive 10 minutes to another car wash that cleans my car 100 % better than this hose and rag operation. The cost for an exterior wash is equal to what a full service wash is 10 minutes away. When I say "full Service", I mean INTERIOR and EXTERIOR, not just the equivalent of a guy with a hose, a rag, and a leaf blower to dry the car. The unlimited program for the other car wash in the area is the same price monthly, only thing is, for that money they clean the inside(including washing of floor mats) and actually wash the WHOLE exterior of the car and dry it thoroughly, using compressed air to get water out of all the joints and tight spaces. This operation could be a gold mine as there are no other car washes in the local area, they are just choosing to do a half ass job and reap the reward because there is no competition. Makes me want to buy a plot of land and construct a first class facility that will put them out of business. Don't waste your money! Go anywhere else! read more

Poor attention to detail. Never dry the front end or back end of the car as it's a drive thru and to see the back or front of the car you have to exit your vehicle. The guys drying the cars are always in a hurry. read more

Save your money and go somewhere where they actually care about getting your vehicle clean. I paid for the Works and left with a vehicle that was still dirty even after asking them to actually wipe down the interior (included in this package - asked them not to use Armor All but to use damp rag instead so he just skipped cleaning the interior), to clean the back that looked like it was totally missed, and to clean the bottom of the doors that hadn't been touched (covered with salt residue). While the attendant was doing these things he was "hurried up" by another worker so he just quit working on my vehicle. He had only begun to wipe off the bottoms of the driver's side doors (what about the other side???). The windshield had some white residue all over it and there was residue all over the car. The wheel wells were still covered with road dirt (so much for the undercarriage wash). This cost me more than any other "Works" ($32) and it was the worst wash ever. Youngstedts should be ashamed to have their name associated with an operation that has such low quality standards and/or poor employee training. read more
