The quality of hair from them was awful I had…read morebreaking when brushing it When I washed it with the suggested shampoo and conditioner it was painful to brush out and would knot up.i asked on several occasions for the brand of hair or company where the hair that I bought from them was. They never would tell me to which the owner eventually accuses me of being a hair stylist trying to steal her source and I am not a hair stylist so that was unbelievable!she told me I wasn't the first stylist to try and find out her source. I wanted to see if the hair company was legit 100 human hair like they claimed since it would singe up and break and looked knotted all the time not smooth. I was told I did something to the hair which makes no sense why would I pay almost 800 dollars to make myself look like I had bad hair. So basically she accused me of trying to get her source of hair and also to Damaging my own hair that I paid to get. No money was ever offered back to me by the way.

We've used a variety of stylists at Thairapy and found them all very professional. They listen to our concerns and make recommendations. Our kids have very different tastes, and the stylists provide great styles for all of us. My daughter and I have received numerous compliments and inquiries after transitioning to a new style. My son and husband's cuts are more subtle, but they both have difficult hair and love the service. One of the selling points for me is that they salon and stylists do not push products. They will make recommendations if you ask and have a supply of various products, but selling product is not what this salon is about. Best of all, they make us feel like family and provide excellent service, even offering to touch up or provide follow up service at no additional cost if needed. The salon shares a door with a local bakery, and folks from the bakery often wonder in to catch up on local businesses coming into Irvington and events taking place that week. You really feel like a part of the community when you come to the salon. My daughter dyed her own hair. When she was ready to switch back, Trisha worked and worked to help us restore her hair color. On several occasions the stylists have stayed late and spent extra time to provide excellent service. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

New to the area and needed my roots done with gray coverage and a plan for transition back to…read moreblonde. Stylist told me she would do my roots a shade lighter and then tone and blend in, plus cut. On my initial visit the hot water was out and I thought it was a fluke. Six weeks later I go back for a second appointment and tell my stylist that the light color did not blend with the rest of my hair and needed to be fixed. She tells me she'll tone it. She puts color in my hair, set me by the wash station and left me there for an hour while she did somebody else's hair. When she came back, she apologized and said the hot water was out again. So I got another cold hair wash, she dry it, and the color was not blended and I ended up with light roots and dark hair. I ended up having to go to somebody else for a color correct because not only where the root slider than the rest of my hair and not blended, the roots weren't even consistently colored, spots missed, gray not covered. These pictures were taken seven days after the color appointment. I won't be back, I paid $200 for the most experienced colorist on Staff and what I got was bad color with cold water.
