After I had to have a kitchen drain snacked several times it was suggested to have our sewer scoped with a camera which revealed cracks in the pipe. Kim recommended the replacement of our sewer line which was done professionally and In only about half a day. I'm glad we replaced our line before we had a backup. I was assigned this company through a Rheem water heater warranty. When the tech arrived, he noticed flooding in my crawl space in addition to the water heater issue. He was very nice and shut off the water to the home. Take a bunch of pictures of the crawl space and told me.I would be cold later with an estimate for the broken pipes. I didn't hear anything , so I called the office later on and was told by the woman who answered the phone to call my insurance company and make sure that I had water line coverage and if I did not to make sure to add it , but not tell them that I had any problems. And she said to get the maximum. I didn't hear back from Her that day. I could not call the insurance company.Because it was president day. The next morning , I called and left them a message , and it was not returned. Tuesday afternoon , I called back , and the owner answered. I asked when the part is arriving for the water heater. She told me that I had to get the pipes fix first I told her they were fixed. She did not believe me. Which is irrelevant?Because once they left my house , they should have ordered the parts for the water heater. She seemed a little mad that she didn't get the whole job. At that point I called Rheem. I told them what happened and they expedited the part out to me. I also asked for a different service provider. Unfortunately , they connected me with the same company. I called friday morning when I received the part to see when they can come and install it. I was told not until at least monday. I have been without hot water for over a week. When I expressed that this was a concern , she became quite nasty , told me how I was stupid and laughed. So I got off the phone with her and called Rheem back told them the situation and they told me I can hire a licensed plumber and they would either pay the invoice or pay me back. It was done by this this afternoon. I cannot tell you the quality of their work. The young man who came to my home was very nice and very helpful. My issue is with the woman in the office. Very rude. Very unprofessional. And it was obvious when she told me to get the maximum coverage that she was going to overcharge. And the most interesting part of this interaction is that , after this , I put a review for the company , stating exactly what I wrote here. I get a phone call from the same woman, but not from an office line.She has a very distinct voice. And she says , are we supposed to be installing a water to heater for you without mentioning a company name or anything else. I guess she thought I would say yes and tell her who I was using. But obviously I recognized her voice and the job was already done and I wouldn't do business with her at this point.So I said no thank you. I have already called my insurance company twice and told them not to do business with these ppl. if your claim is assigned to them change it right away and don't pay any fees. They charged me 85 dollars for technician to come visit my house and the guy didn't even spent 30 seconds, took 2 pictures and left. When i called the office to see if the diagnostic was submitted they insisted it was and when I called the insurance claims department they said nothing was submitted. Stay clear of this company. This team was assigned to my home through a warranty contract. I needed a drain cleared in my bathroom sink. Kim, the owner, was kind to me during my appointment and before coming to my home told me her 40 years of experience let her know I needed new basement pipes and I needed to upgrade my insurance so she could ensure the work I needed was covered. The plumber Mark, came out and told me he was not able to drain the pipe, I needed a clean out so he could get to the clog. Kim told him she was familiar with my home and they needed to bust through the cement in my basement because the clog was a result of my main being clogged with years of debris. She provided notes to my warranty company that Mark had tested my kitchen sink and basement pipes and the water continued to come into the home which is why she was recommending replacing pipes in the basement. This was all completely false information provided to the warranty company. There was no testing or water backing up in any other place but the bathroom sink. My conversation with Kim post appointment was quite hostile and I asked her to refrain from using rude tones with me. She hung up the phone after claiming to try to help me and ended with "God Bless". I have called for a complete investigation of this company and in the meantime, I was able to secure another plumber who simply snaked the drain. Looking at the other reviews, not only does this company provide poor service, there is a lack of integrity and I even saw them threaten someone with using their personal information because they provided a poor review. Not ok. I do not recommend this company and highly suggest others steer clear of their services. I could not rate it 0 but would if that was an option. WATCH OUT!!!! Young's Water and Sewer Company was sent to my home by my Warranty company, First Premier Home Warranty, to fix a clog that caused my toilet to overflow, while doing wash. Trey came in and, right away, told me that ALL my water pipes need to be replaced, inside and outside. I was NOT able to use any of my water facilities, because of the clog. He told me it would be covered under the warranty and to give him my copay and make an appointment to have the work done. I called the office and spoke to Kimberly Young, owner, who told me to upgrade my Homeowners Insurance and have them pay for my water pipes to be replaced. They would NOT remove the clog. I had to pay another plumber full price to remove the clog. I had the same clogs removed a few times before in the 48 years of living in this home. My water pipes are fine and this company would not fix a simple clog, only wanting to do major unnecessary repairs. They were insistent about having me upgrade my homeowner's insurance for them to do a big unnecessary job. I do NOT recommend them. read more

BEWARE ANOTHER 1 STAR REVIEW FOR YOUNGS (shocker) These are the craziest people I've ever dealt with!! They were contacted by our home warranty company to repair our heater. The tech they sent out came to our house with no tools, walked in our door took a sh!t in our bathroom (didn't wash his hands) came out took 2 photos of our heater , didn't even look at what could be the problem, took his copay and drove away. We had to call them every day for a week to keep the process moving because they were so incompetently slow at uploading documents. Their manager made a horribly racist comment to our home warranty rep which was extremely offensive. Then upon approval from our insurance company, Young's sent us an invoice for an additional $750 saying that we needed to pay extra because this "wasn't fully covered" so we called our insurance and they said that's absolutely wrong it's fully covered. Then young's said THEY think it shouldn't be covered by our insurance ( we didn't ask for their opinion on if this should be covered or not lol) and that we were ungrateful...So end of the story they are trying to get your insurance company to pay the max amount and then additionally telling you it's not fully covered and you have to pay them hundreds of dollars extra to have a guy come out and take a sh!it in your bathroom and fix absolutely nothing. Horribe company to deal with. They sent a tech out to look at my central ac unit. He arrived with no tools, gauges, equipment etc. He needed my help to put back an access panel to the ac unit. He said he couldn't figure out what was wrong and I needed an electrican to come out and look at the ac. I looked up the company to see if they have an HVAC license and they do not have a license in HVAC. Each time I called I got a different person on the phone and they were annoyed that I was calling to get the problem fixed. Then they updated my claim with the warranty company to say i had hay and a rats nets in my ac unit, yes you read that correct "rats nets". It not even proper English. They are a disgrace of a company and they should be stripped of any license they may have. Stay away from this company at all costs. Warranty company and Youngs would not provide me any photos of the said nest or a written estimate. I stood by the tech throughout the entire process and he did not mention any nest. I held the flashlight for him while he took photos of the inside of the AC unit. I can't believe a company still can operate this way in 2025. They should be ashamed of themselves. They were unable to schedule a tech in a reasonable amount of time after being assigned our job and continued to say they "are checking scheduling" but never assigned a tech. They were rude and condescending on the phone and would not listen when you tried to explain the problem with the A/C system. My air conditioning unit stopped working during the heatwave the first week of June 2025, and I contacted my warranty company who listed it with Youngs Water and Sewer located in Howell, NJ. A technician from Youngs Water and Sewer came to check out the unit on June 12, and I was told that the AC needed a new motor, capacitor, freon and thermostat. Several days passed after the appointment and I hadn't heard anything, so I contacted the warranty company on June 18 to follow-up. I was told that the company hadn't provided the warranty company the cost breakdown for the work they said was necessary. However, Danielle, the Office Manager, said that all information requested was sent to the warranty company. At the 4th request, several days later, my warranty company advised that they received the documentation and approved the work. In the meantime, I received a proposal from the company stating that the out of pocket would be 1695.00. That was news to the warranty company as they said I shouldn't have any out of pocket cost. The warranty company needed a cost breakdown of the 1695.00. That took more time because Youngs were not sending the information requested in a timely manner. Once the reason for the out of pocket was given, the warranty company approved the work but there would be out of pocket of 500.00. I agreed and promptly contacted Youngs to schedule the appointment for the repair. They told me that they were going to fit me in as an emergency the next day. However, they didn't contact me to schedule the appointment so I called them and was told the out of pocket would be 3800.00 because I needed a new furnace. The warranty company was not aware that they were charging an additional amount nor did they know anything about a need for a new furnace. I decided to contact my utility company to get another opinion and the technician explained that I didn't need a new furnace, just the motor and capacitor. He also said that the technician with Youngs would not have been able to tell if freon was needed because the motor needed to be working in order to test the freon level, and the motor wasn't working! All of this led me to no longer trust or have confidence in this company. I went with another company that was not a provider with my warranty company. Once the motor was installed, the freon level was tested and I didn't need freon afterall. I was out of my house for 12 agonizing days and had to board my cat as well because the temperature didn't go below 88 degrees in my home during this time. Not only was this experience unnecessarily costly, it was extremely anxiety provoking. I would NEVER recommend Youngs Water and Sewer. read more

*WARNING* This company was originally referred to me by my home warranty company to address leaking/water damage to the dining room ceiling in my home earlier this spring. I was told the pipes in the dining room ceiling leading to the shower would need to be repaired and replaced and in order to do that they would need to remove and replace a 2nd floor shower as well. The company was extremely challenging to work with and their office supervisor Marie was very difficult to communicate with; she will only talk over you and will not let you speak. Eventually the work was completed. The leaking returned to the same spot last week and when I reached back out to Young's Water and Sewer they gave me a number where I could reach Marie and I sent photo's to her via text of the new leaking and water damage. She responded that "looking at the photos I can tell this is not the shower, it is a main line" and suggested that I open another claim through my home warranty company, which I no longer have and when I shared that with them, they stopped responding. I called a different plumber to come out and they opened the ceiling and sent me photos of the piping causing the water leakage and it is THE SAME piping leading to the newly installed shower, which Young's water and sewer repaired and installed, earlier in the spring. I called the company again to let them know what the new plumber shared and sent them photos. They very adamantly explained to me that they only installed the shower and did not repair any pipes and that this was not an issue as a result of the work they completed; she said they did no work to pipes in the ceiling, which simply is not true. I asked to speak with a manager or owner and they shared that I could not speak with anyone until 7/14/23 when they return from vacation and could not tell me the person's name that would be reaching out to me. Interestingly this supervisor's name was Chris, however they sounded exactly like Marie and would also over talk me and not let me speak. I have attached a photo that Young's Water and Sewer sent to me of the pipe in the ceiling leading to the shower that they were repairing and a second photo of THE SAME pipe that is now loose, needs to be repaired and is the direct source of the current water damage. I do not recommend Young's Water and Sewer and did not renew my home warranty as a result of my experience with this company. I only hope that I am able to resolve this issue and hope that others can avoid the same challenges I have experienced with Young's Water and Sewer, by choosing a different company for their plumbing needs. read more

If i would know i will get charged for activation fees $69 i would have used my own credit card which is for 20 months interest free. As you mentioned you were not aware of it but when i spoke to Person In charge i have been informed that 1 or 2 people complained about it before further if that's a issue from bank side you should compensate by giving a discount which was promised to me before the installation. Just a quick note. THINK TWICE BEFORE GIVING THIS COMPANY YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER FOR A DEPOSIT. If you give this company your credit card number to pay a deposit, they may charge more than the agreed upon deposit and may continue to use it to pay for the rest of the job without your consent. In my case, they charged my card for $500 more than the 51% deposit listed on the contract to replace my galvanized water lines with copper. I didn't know this until I received my credit card bill, or I would have frozen my card then. They scheduled a final inspection without notifying me when about 25% of the work was still not complete, then charged my card again, this time for $6,900. This would have put me over my card's limit if I hadn't just paid it off. They are saying the job is complete. They also offered to get my insurance company to pay (neither line was broken) and offered financing. That could have increased my insurance premiums and may not have been legit. I would have had to share my SS# for financing, which would have left me vulnerable to additional types of fraud. Look under "credit card" and "insurance" for other reviews that mention these same issues. The company had done the exact same job for me about 10 years ago and things had gone smoothly, so I took the reviews here with a grain of salt. My mistake. The techs who came out were on time, hard working, and professional. They made some errors due to lack of training and supervision (noted in other reviews as well), e.g., not initially putting the waterline next to the sewer line in a sleeve and choosing to dig through the crawlspace rather than alongside the house until they reached the deeper basement. The techs were not licensed plumbers and I never met the person who signed the permit. I don't know if anyone was supervising them. The company tried to charge me for the extra time these things took. In the end, to make up for their loss, they skipped swapping out the galvanized after the water meter out for copper. They later tried to get me to pay for it as an extra job when it had been included last time. By that point, I was concerned about their ability to do the work. They also claimed that the cast iron sewer line to the back house had failed and they needed to dig it up and replace it. I knew it was PVC and declined. Also, as of 5/18/2024, this company holds a home improvement license, but not a plumbing license, despite how it is listed on the BBB.org website. One of the owners has a plumbing license under his own name however. They never showed me the permit before submitting it but treated it like it was the contract - said if an item wasn't on it they didn't have to do it. I did not sign off on it. The lady on the phone was very harsh right from day one. The tech - Ryan was good although there was a follow up that was required for which AO smith asked me to call Young as there was something more required to close the case. Do not use this company ! They came and fixed a gas leak. After they fixed the leak and lit the boiler they said flames were shooting out and I needed a new boiler. After paying them 10k to fix a gas leak and replace the boiler my upstairs heat doesn't work. After 7 months of calling they finally came back to fix the heat and they said there are no pipes for my upstairs heat. Ms. Rude Kim said a master plumber was there and confirmed the pipes are not there. Who in their right mind would remove the pipes for their upstairs heat in a 600k condo??? This is the worst company I ever dealt with in my 47 years of life. Btw, I had to choose at least one star. I would have chosen -5 stars if it was available. Update. I worked with Ms. Rude Kim and tried to rectify the issue for a year with her and she sent some people to see what the problem was. The insisted pipes were missing. I brought in Pruzansky plumbing which did previous work on my system and they quickly identified the issue. There was a missing zone valve and bleeder. The way the system was installed left no way to bleed the upstairs system. I paid Pruzansky to fix the issue and then requested reimbursement for the repair from Ms. Rude. She said she would call Pruzansky and never did. She then refused to reimburse me and threatened to bill me for the visits to rectify the issue. "Bad" is an understatement. This past week my hot water heater in my recently purchased home, finally went after 25yrs. When I purchased the home the sellers agreed to a home warranty under the company Choice Home Warranty. CHW covered the Water Heater and one man's labor for the job. CHW recruited Youngs Water and Sewer to do the job. I was contacted by Kim Spinelli-Young the owner of the company who at first seem helpful and trustworthy, boy was I wrong. I asked Kim to try her hardest to get me a Bradford White water heater which she did, or should I say CHW did, but only through constant back and forth phone calls with the two companies. During the time between when the water broke to when they arrived to fix it, I was constantly on the phone with CHW and youngs to figure out what brand of water heater I was getting. Kim only answered the phone to get my money and her reps two young girls would say they would ask Kim my concerns and just hang up the phone and never return my calls. When the two techs arrived thats only when I found out that I was getting a Bradford White. Meanwhile, I was charged and extra $735 for an expansion tank, 4in vent and main valve fix. Now the Main Valve fix was one valve that was secondary to the main and about a foot of copper pipe that took ten minutes to do. Kim charged me $395 for that, so tack that on and my bill for installation is at $1300 including the initial holds. Oh and she also tried to charge my card the $735 without asking me, the only reason I found out was because my card kept declining it. The proposal clearly stated that the job would be paid in full after completion. Furthermore once the tank was installed I noticed it was dented and scratched. Her techs tried to get me to sign a hand written uncertified document stating that I accept the damages. I didn't sign it. After such a headache I can say that Youngs Water and Sewer has been the worst experience I've had with a utility company since I moved into my home. Kim is a money hungry Leech who makes her own prices on the spot and acts like she's there for your interest. Youngs does not respond or answer any questions no matter how many times you call and their reps are just as unprofessional. Stay clear of CHW and definitely stay clear of Youngs Water and Sewer they will try to rob you blind. I hope Kim Spinelli-Young reads this and realizes what an unprofessional business she runs. read more

The plumbers were great but dealing with the office was a nightmare could not get answers to basic questions never received a bill was also dealing with warrenty company. It took forever to find out what the actual cost of the job was I was lied to a few times about cost of supplies and was told everything was covered and it wasn't. My home warranty company referred me to Young's Water & Sewer to assess my water heater. Their diagnosis required the replacement of the unit which was done with a reasonably quick turnaround. The installation was completed but required additional work by an electrician which Young's referred me. I incurred an additionalexpense because the electrical wire was not properly attached to the unit. read more
