Our waitress was awkward and seemed frazzled. Not sure if she was new or overloaded or perhaps both. We probably wouldn't go back. I gave a two rating based on the cool ambiance and my husband's opinion. The patio with a live musician was cute and enjoyable.

To be fair, we did have a new server who was still in training, but the bigger slow down seemed to be coming from the kitchen and not from her. Though we did order an appetizer which came within about 25 minutes of us ordering it, the main course didn't come out for nearly 45 minutes after that. The pizza we got is an appetizer was delicious and we both really enjoyed having a little bit of that to eat before the main courses came out. This was a Groupon deal that came with a three course option so we got to choose from a limited selection of the menu, but it was a good value purchase for sure. I'd try them again and see if we just caught the kitchen on an off night as there were lots of other yummy sounding things on the menu. Also, the outdoor seating area had a very nice ambience to it, and the weather was perfect for dining outside.

I came here with a few of my friends for a fun dinner and this place did not disappoint!! I highly…read morerecommend making a reservation because it was packed when I came on a Sunday. We were told the patio was first come, first serve. We were able to secure a spot right by the water which was amazing!! They had a great selection of wine & cocktails. We ordered the mushroom flatbread to share and it was delish. I was a little adventurous and opted for the mac & cheese with shrimp but the mac = gnocchi. It was delicious and very rich. At the end, we were too full so we took dessert to go. Overall, I was very satisfied with my dining experience here. I would definitely return!!

If you enjoy condiments the semolina crusted calamari ($26) comes with four dipping sauces:…read moresweet-curried aioli, sweet chili, basil pesto aioli, and sriracha aioli. It would've been nice if at least one packed a bit of heat, but they're all tame, adding flavour without overpowering the squid. Thankfully, the semolina crust was excellent - crunchy, light, and not oily at all. The portion is generous and easily shareable between two or three people. A newer addition to the menu is the short rib sandwich ($34), and it's a good one. Large chunks of tender, flavourful beef are topped with sautéed mushrooms, crispy onions, arugula, and brie. The cheese adds a creamy richness that makes the sandwich stand out. The menu notes a horseradish aioli, but any zing from it gets buried under the slightly sweet braising sauce, which was too sugary for my taste. I would've preferred it kept more savoury. The sandwich is already quite saucy, and yet more sauce arrives on the side. Good for fries if you choose to switch the salad to spuds. After hearing plenty about the Great Canadian Burger ($29), I couldn't resist splitting one, though I ultimately wish I hadn't. The short rib sandwich is better. The burger is hefty, with a thick beef patty that's overly dense and heavily mixed, giving it more of a frozen-patty texture than the crumbly tenderness of a good homemade one. The potato bun also struggled to hold up against the avalanche of toppings: grilled peameal bacon, cheddar, onion, tomato, arugula, pickle, and two sauces. I'm not sure why the kitchen insists on sweetening everything - the burger comes with caramelized onion bacon jam and a maple chipotle aioli, both quite sugary. If you enjoy sweeter savoury dishes, you'll probably like it. Otherwise, I'd skip the handhelds. On our weekday lunch visit, the restaurant was well staffed and attentive. Even though we never felt rushed, we were in and out within about an hour. If anything, the service bordered on overly attentive... during that hour we were interrupted six times by four different people checking if everything was okay. My suggestion: let the primary server handle most of the check-ins, and only have others step in if things get busy.

Don't be a jerk... be an Italian jerk!!!…read more Wow wow wow! What a gem we have here nestled into wine country at the Royal de Maria winery! The Italian Jerk hut is the authentic ethnic stop for every foodie alike! A great menu with Italian classics like eggplant or meatball parm sandwiches to Italian pizzas and pastas... though I can't really speak for these because my belly got filled up with the absolutely amazing Caribbean meaning items! Jerk, rices, plantains, roti, and everything in between! Authentic Caribbean jerk cooked with wood in barrel smokers right on the the vineyard property daily! Right now they have the drive through ordering open Wed - Sat 12-7pm and you can eat under the pergola patio and enjoy the vineyard atmosphere. We split a few items and had more than enough! Curry chicken roti - $12 which is a massive roti that wraps up the delicious curried potato and chicken filling served with a tasty curried spice gravy on the side. Jerk chicken served with rice & beans - $14 for large and HOLY easy 3-4 servings of the most delicious jerk seasoned meat and perfectly cooke rice and beans Dumplings - $3 kind of like a fried biscuit or bannock with fluffy and tasty pastry with a buttery and salty outside, YUM! Great service and fantastic food! Fast and so delicious! Will definitely be back (I live super close) and will tell everyone to come here! Can't wait to try more! (The vegtable chickpea and spinach roti is calling me or maybe the goat jerk!)
