Stopped in one day after work to grab a couple of poke bowls to take home for dinner. The staff was nice enough, but it was a little confusing because I had to stand at the end of the counter at a table to order my bowls and wasn't allowed to follow down the bar to ask about toppings, etc. but had to go down to the other end to pay - not sure why you can't just stand in front of the bar...but ok. The poke bowl wasn't bad, but definitely not the best I've ever had. I would eat here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a local place to grab a poke bowl. read more

This has become our go to for a quick grab and go dinner before or after travel when the fridge is empty. The staff are friendly and quick. The inside is clean with lots of seating options (though we've never stayed to eat). Easy parking since it's in the big grocery center. The poke bowl and hibachi dinners are great. Lots of quality ingredients for the price. We haven't tried any of the started but there are several options. They also have fountain and bottle drinks available. They ask before they include utensils or extras like soy sauce which is great as we try to avoid the extra plastic waste. read more

After some evening errands, I was craving a poke bowl but didn't want to brave rush hour traffic, so I tried Yoshi Poke. My husband has picked up food from here several times, and it's only a few miles from home. I ordered a single-scoop bowl with salmon, lots of toppings, and several dressings/sauces on the side. When ordering online, the only option is to build your own poke bowl, so if you've never had a poke bowl or want recommendations, you may want to go in person. My bowl was made correctly and promptly- it was ready when I arrived. I missed a few toppings from my original poke spot, and I didn't care for the white sauce. The poke dressing and sriracha aioli were good, though. If you don't want raw fish or poke, Yoshi Poke offers hibachi and appetizers. Parking is easy and convenient. read more

I was feeling like some raw fish, but wanted something different than my normal sushi rolls. This place has literally been up the street for a while now and we haven't tried it out yet. My husband wanted soup, but I opted for a bowl with D). Two scoops protein and then all the above! Lol! The bowl was packed, it was very fresh, and the flavor profiles were awesome! I got the spicy tuna and Salmon and the asked for the sauces on the side, because I wanted to try two different ones! I ended using both. Their wasabi sauce and their poke sauce. I wasn't a big fan of their rice though, I chose their sushi rice and it was a little too sweet for me, and then my sons fried rice had a weird smell to it, but he liked it, lol! I definitely have to say I was skeptical that I'd still be hungry and my appetite was large! The price was just shy of twenty five dollars for one bowl (double protein) and a side of fried rice and oh my goodness was it a ton of food! I've been on a biiiiigggg poke kick & Yoshi always hits the spot. I always order the double protein build your own and usually have a little left for lunch the next day. I also typically order ahead so it's the most seamless pick up and easy meal on a busy or lazy night. Can't recommend enough! read more

I had the teriyaki bowl. It was really good. I only wish it had more chicken and more vegetable. I think the dinner was the same, but only included a salad and soup. The food came out quickly and the staff was very nice. I was not a fan of the white sauce. read more

I'm not quite sure how this place gets 5 stars!! And charges extra for a bite of crab salad. Also skimps you on every side you can add to the bowl. Pretty Ridiculous. I was looking for a quick dinner with my wife the other night, and we decided to try out Yoshi Poke based on some reviews from friends. We ordered on the app, and I went down to pick it up. She ordered the chicken hibachi poke, and I went with the tuna poke. The app let us choose all of the toppings that we wanted, or didn't want, which made ordering so easy. When I arrived, the food was ready, and I walked in and out with no wait. The food was excellent from top to the bottom. I finished my entire bowl somehow, but my wife left a little bit for me to assist with. I am looking forward to coming back here and trying out another bowl. read more

I love poke. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. I like it spicy as possible. As most, I have a price limit. The quality of the food here is outstanding. It tasted fresh,clean, and flavorful. A lot of that is up to you when you order but I have mine prepared with flavors that zing! They made it quick and to my specific liking. It's location is fantastic in the neighborhood row of West Ashley on bee's Ferry. What held me back: price(it was expensive compared to its competitors), size(portions don't reflect price), and last thing was the protein I chose was icy cold( it's usually room temp not iceberg). I have tried pretty much all of the Poke restaurants in Charleston and objectively speaking, this place and Beech compete for my least favorite. The service here is perfectly fine, they are very nice. The restaurant is nice and clean. The fish tastes fresh. However, the portion size is less than everywhere else I have been, and despite choosing two sauces, they put so little sauce on your bowl that you question whether there is any. Given the nearly inexistent sauce, I thankfully had soy sauce at home and had to drench my bowl so that it wasnt so dry. The only thing this restaurant beats out over the other poke restaurants is the amount of toppings you can put on your bowl. My advice is to go over to Poke Cafe. They fill your bowl to the top, literally to the point that the lid is pushing the ingredients down. Same quality meat and they put enough sauce on that your bowl isnt dry. They also have boba tea if thats your thing. read more

The one time I had their food delivered it was nothing special, very plain. BUT I picked up an order tonight, never been there before, and it was pitch black outside. There are parking lots and open doors on both sides of the building. No guests inside. I walk in, no one says anything to me. I say "hi, I'm picking up an order." Still nothing. Then the owner or whoever mutters something under his breath. I say "sorry, what was that?' He says unnecessarily rudely "That's MY back door. MY front door is over there." Okay, it's not like I walked into the kitchen and made myself a salmon roll. I work F&B too and I would NEVER correct a guest like that. A simple "in the future, we'd prefer you use the other door" or putting up a "use other door" sign would work. read more

I think their poke bowls are over priced. They charge you for the extras that are normally included in a poke bowl and quite small serving. Although, taste is decent. read more
