Wow, this is definitely the best fish and chips I have ever tasted! I ordered the £15.75 cod special that came with a large piece of cod fish, chips, a side, a slice of bread with butter and a cup of tea or coffee. For the side I opted for the mushy peas which is typically not found on menus in the U.S.
I am not a fried food person and definitely prefer my fish raw as sashimi or cooked any other way than deep fried. However, I enjoyed this succulent piece of cod fish and even ate some of its batter which I usually don't do.
I walked by several fish and chips eateries before getting here, so I know this place's price is a bit higher than others'. However, the quality of its food made it justifiable. The friendly staff's quick attentive service and their impressive efficiency from seating you quickly after you step inside, bringing you a menu immediately, taking your order quickly, serving your food as soon as it is done, and bringing you your check definitely give you an overall 5-star dining experience. read more
