They towed a friend's car who lived out of town during the fair and damaged the underbody of his car while doing it. This was during the county fair. The people at the gates said the parking was full, so they followed others and parked across the street, not realizing there were signs . We came out 3 hours later, and they had no car. We went to the lot and pulled up to people working, and they definitely weren't personable, and actually really rude. My friend offered to pay to get his car (Saturday night). They said they were just drivers and the office was closed. Come on! They live ON the property! We had to take my friend an hour away and then drive 2 hours to get back home? Since this was a central meeting point for us to watch the demo derby. Over $400 later, he got his car on Monday morning, only to find it damaged. These people are flat out crooks. It shouldn't cost over $100/day to spark his car in their yard. They definitely have a scam going. I don't plan to spend my money in this county anymore. We used to come here 4 or 5 times a year and eat dinner whole we were were in Danville. We will spend our money elsewhere as long as they're running their scams. read more

I have a car that was impounded from them and I had a quick question and wouldn't respond professionally. No sense of service and was no help at all. How can the owner of the company be no help? Who should help me then if Rick is the only one picking up the calls? read more

Throughout the years I have needed towing, when I flipped my car, when I have had a car break down etc. My whole family has used them for years. They are a local business that truly care about their costumers and protecting the vehicles they are towing. Their price is very comparable to towing I have had in the past when I lived in different areas. You call and they answer. I have had issues in the past getting a towing company to even answer a phone call. I will continue to use them for ever. read more

Owner (Ricky) is very rude and unprofessional . They also take forever and a day to tow you from being stuck. Very pricy and not worth it. Avoid at all costs. read more

I wish there was an option not to even give a star . This has been the WORST towing company I have EVER came across on. "Rick" the owner so he says is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My father owns a towing company for almost 20 years and I have NEVER heard my father speak to customers the way he did. I called him early Sunday morning at 10am to ask to see if they had towed my vehicle , he had the worst customer voice and said yes we did because the car was on the road . Only a tire was touch the road as this is my evidence that I left my car out of the way not obstructing traffic also left 2 notes that a tow truck was on the way . (My fathers company) by the time my dad went to look for it and spent 2 hours looking for it he gave up and assumed someone had already towed it we agreed to call in the morning to figure out where it had went. I have a 7 month old pregnant wife that needed to go for her medicine as she was not feeling well . That is the reason we didn't stay with the car. Yorks Towing shouldn't be operating at all. Called today as he denied to release my car Sunday morning ; and asked how much it would be he said $315 and has to be done before 3pm. read more

Very good people! Quick to respond and professional. Some of the reviews on here make me laugh. I know the owner and have for many years. People complaining about the used cars have no leg to stand on because they did just that. Bought a $2000 used car. I can drive a car around for years with no issue then sell it and something break. Out of my control. Matter of fact i was here when one of the vehicles were sold and the customer was told that the vehicle had a leaking power steering line and the transmission acted up sometimes. However they want to complain when something goes wrong. I have had many vehicles towed by yorks and they are always careful with my vehicles and pricing is very comparable to all other tow yards around this area. People like to get on here and leave a bad review but not tell anyone about the part that they did to get themselves into a situation were they had to pay for a tow bill. read more

They charged $335 to tow my daughters car less than 3 miles down the road after her accident. They were absolute jerks and I would not recommend using them for anything! If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Waited for two hours. Called twice. Finally gave up and called a more reputable company.

Don't ever use this company!! They are rude and crooks! My car was towed there by police because I didn't leave a note on my car. I had car trouble on a Friday. I went back for my car and it was gone in Danville In. These people live right beside the lot and informed me there business hours are from 8am to 4 pm " Just like the police." Although they are answering the phone. They would not let me get my car that night or Saturday morning. I needed a vehicle release. They charged me for Sat and Sunday which totalled $410. If the county offices are NOT open then they should not be able to charge the public! They kept blaming the police for their charges and business tactics. This company has no morals or sympathy for anyone! read more

Buyer Beware!!! Senior Citizens Beware!! Ricky York From York Towing. Sold me a 1990 ford ranger pick up truck for $2000.00, Ricky York stood next to this truck and said to me," I feel confident that this truck is sound enough to drive to Florida and back" I replied that i was buying this truck for my 18 year old son, and i needed something safe and reliable for him. Rick york, and his Father the owner. Told me this would be a great safe truck for a first truck for him! 15 min after buying this truck. Power steering pump starting dumping fluid out all over the motor. smoke pouring out from under the hood. had to stop on side of road, Smoke pouring out. Called York towing, talked to Ricky York on phone, And he replied sold as is, No returns, No refunds. Remember i have driven this truck less than 10 miles. After biting my tongue half off and being as calm as possible, I ask him is this how you treat people? so you wont help me i asked? 1 hour later Ricky York showed up with his wrecker. towed me to my home 30 miles away. and said to me, after you fix the power steering pump, You will be fine. This a good solid truck. next day transmission goes out. now i need another tow to get my son and truck home. so now i have to scrap this truck, or have it towed again to a transmission shop for $35.00 plus $1800.00 for a rebuilt trans. I have called the Attorneys Generals office, the B.B.B and now looking into a law suit. Lemon law is in affect, Being that this company is a car towing and sales company. york towing will not respond to me any longer. Buyer Beware!! read more
