I'm from Hawaii so I know good sushi .. I'm giving this place 3stars based on service ambience and freshness of fish . As far as the price I felt it was overpriced . The rolls were small . Ordered spicy lobster roll and didn't taste lobster just spice and nori (seaweed). Salmon avocado maki just ok and same with the spicy tuna . Not a big variation on menu either . read more

Have never really been a sushi lover but after trying the sushi here I defiantly have become one. This is our 4th time coming to Yoon and will continue to be a patron here. The service is excellent and friendly. The presentation of the sushi is excellent as well, very creative and may as well be considered sushi art. Out normal server Linda, who is always a joy to talk with, was not here tonight. Our server Lizzy did a excellent job as well. We drive 55 miles to come for the sushi and it is well worth it. read more

For a couple years now this has been our go-to sushi spot in the Woodstock area. I definitely recommend! However if you are looking for cheap, quick "sushi" that's deep fried and smothered in sauce this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for quality fish with fresh ingredients in a clean atmosphere this place can not be compared to any place within the area. The sashimi is wonderful, sushi is tasty, and their specialty rolls have many options that are "fish focused" and come out tasting light, fresh and filling. Sushi chefs take their time assembling orders, while cooked food is prepared in back. So please be aware groups of people may receive orders at different times. My only pet peeve is while placing to-go orders currently they require you to walk all the way to the back of the restaurant to pay and pickup. This would not be a problem in the previous years but during the times of Covid-19 I feel this should be handled in the front of the house to limit head-counts in this intimate sized restaurant. Not bad considering it is located on the outskirts of where metro atlanta collides with redneck hillbilly. Most sushi restaurants in fringe country towns like this usually have a hibachi attached to it so the rednecks can eat their steak, a buffet attached to it so the rednecks can each chicken fingers and pizza, or market their menu as chinese / thai / japanese so the rednecks can eat sweet and sour chicken. So far I am a fan. Sushi is nothing magical as far as I am concerned. Your fish is either fresh and high grade or it is not. A few places can elevate it to a higher art form, but if you are ordering a sashimi plate and a couple of rolls, then it is just about the fish. The fish was very good quality and enjoyable. Big winners were the Octopus and Uni. Also had some miso soup that was average, but I was more concerned about my sashimi, as that is why you go to a sushi restaurant anyway so I can overlook that without a problem. I have no complaints about the service, it was just fine. They were nice enough to bring out the little plastic chopstick trainer attachment for my 4 year old so that she could learn how to use her chopsticks properly. They were even nice enough to let her take it home. Atmosphere is nice and I would consider it upscale considering the surrounding area. When they are on it's great... when they are off it's way off. Too many times we have gotten take out only to receive the wrong order. I stick with safe items that are not completely raw so that if it's an off day I won't get sick. When in a pinch for some sushi I will go to Yoon but I have had too many negative times there to be a regular. First time at Yoon. I'd heard so much about this little jewel in Holly Springs and had to try it. As a newbie to sushi I wasn't sure where to start but our server made suggestions and we made our selection. Our server was incredibly slow as we watched people who came in after us get served before we were! Not sure what happened but we were not happy about it and had to ask why it was taking so long. I think this was just a fluke and apologies were made. Sometimes servers have a rough night so we extended kindness and devoured our sushi when it finally arrived! The food and ambience were great but the service tonight was lacking. I'll give Yoon Sushi another try! read more

A gem in a place we didn't expect to find one! In a shopping plaza, the storefront didn't look special, but we trusted the reviews. Everything else we found was very special! A beautiful space with a sushi bar and tables. We were greeted warmly by the staff as soon as we came in, and were well cared for until we left. My wife and I both had Chirashi, so that we could try the greatest assortment of fish. From the miso soup to the cucumber salad to the fish and sushi rice, everything was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious! We have found a new favorite sushi spot! Came in on a Thursday night to a beautiful, relaxed restaurant! Loved the calm music and lighting. Everyone was friendly and eager to explain answers to our menu questions. The sushi bar is really beautiful but we aren't huge sushi people so we opted for kitchen dishes. Clean restaurant with a good health score. My husband had the chicken yaki soba and said it was absolutely amazing. I had the half chicken teriyaki dinner which came with cabbage (a few veggies thrown in) and white rice with a miso soup starter or salad. At $12 for my meal I was hoping for a little bit more flavor in my food, but I understand that it's a sushi restaurant. If we ever learn to like sushi, we'd definitely return! read more

Had an absolutely amazing experience! I basically walked in and told Brad the chef that I wanted him to make me whatever he wanted. He asked how much I wanted to spend, I told him and enjoyed a platter of so many different types of sushi that by the end I didn't want to leave and even though I was full, I asked for another roll. Yoon has the best sushi I have ever had. Everyone there is so nice, they treat us like family because we go there a lot. They are always busy because they are the best in town. I'm always willing to wait a bit on Saturday nights...and if I'm not in the mood to wait, I just order Yoon take out. Their salmon is always so fresh. My daughter will eat 10 pieces of salmon nigiri in one sitting...and yet she "hates fish." I have food sensitivities and they created a gluten free, dairy free roll that I love!!!
