This is where the nightmare began They pulled all his teeth at once In one visit he was in horrible pain. They gave him his dentures the same day telling him to wear them a little each day till his mouth healed and he was comfortable . He kept saying there were roots left in his jaw, went back and the dentist said there was nothing there wouldn't even Ex-ray them just didn't care what happened . His dentures didn't fit they were to large for his mouth. We went for second opinion they found 4 roots left in his mouth .They have to do a bone graft on lower jaw do to not being able to wear his dentures because they didn't fit and the roots being there. And that dentist didn't care one lil bit about his patent. He shouldnt be allowed to be a dentist he is the most awful dentist . He wouldn't even try Check to see if there was a problem . He shouldnt even be in business. Find a different dentist don't go to this one.

I highly recommend Santa Paula General Dentistry, Dr. Reyes, Cecilia, and their assistant April…read more Nothing slips through the cracks here. The office hours are perfect for my work schedule as it is difficult for me to miss work. The most impressive part of the whole operation is how thorough, clean, and efficient everyone here is, especially for how reasonable the prices are, even for the dentally uninsured individuals like myself. I called around to many dentist offices inquiring rough pricing for specific procedures so I didn't waste anyone's time and I was met with a lot of impatient receptionists, but that was not the case with Cecilia. Dr. Reyes is very thorough with the initial examination and consultation which was amazing, very knowledgeable, patient when explaining everything, professional, clean, very fair, gentle when it came to navigating my mouth, just an overall caring individual, the list can go on for days. Cecilia is an absolute sweet heart. Very professional, thorough, organized, patient, clean, understanding, and very good at scheduling appointments that do not interfere with my work schedule. She is very proactive with scheduling and if there is a way to get your appointment moved up she will make it happen. The office is open the perfect hours for me to be able to make my appointment. April is so patient and thorough when explaining everything to you, and following up to make sure you actually understand what you should be doing, and gentle while assisting Dr. Reyes.

I have found him to be professional, knowledgeable, patient, and gentle in all aspects of my care. He and his wife Cecilia are extremely kind and have gone out of their way to accommodate me. As for their dental plan, if you took time to compare rates you would soon discover your savings. Their was no pressure what so ever to use it. I had been seen at another practice prior to visiting Dr. Reyes where I had been charged anywhere from $100-$1000 more than what Dr. Reyes charged for similar services.

Was so satisfied with this doctor that it was never an inconvenience to drive from Oxnard to Santa Paula. During covid I had to cancel 2 appts with the hygienist. Once I had covid and the other time I was just sick. Called both times to cancel. Last month I decided to get back on track with caring for my teeth. I called on 7/1, no answer so I left a message. Called back at the end of the day on 7/2, no answer again. This time my message included if I was still a patient of Dr Stewart. I needed to know one way or another. Never received a call back. Fortunately I found a local dentist, family owned and operated much like Dr Stewart's operation. I don't understand why someone couldn't call me back. Very unprofessional.

My first time in Dr. Stewarts office was when I was 3 years old. Throughout my life I've had a few…read moredifferent jobs and not all of them provided dental insurance that was covered by Dr. Stewarts practice and I had to goto other dentists for years at a time and in those periods (over 7 years) I ended up at 3 different dentists. I have found through my experiences at other dentists and conversations with friends and family that most dentists cut corners and try to extrude as much services from you/your insurance as possible by saying you need extra services such as "deep cleanings". At Doctor Stewarts office you will meet some of the best most professional dental hygienists that will clean your teeth and treat you like family. Most dental offices do not have dental hygienists clean your teeth, instead they have dental assistants clean your teeth (likely because they get paid less) and then they charge you for a hygienist to perform a deep cleaning. Having a hygienist clean your teeth will allow the use of better dental tools by this trained professional, the dental assistant is now allowed to use these tools and the practice will charge you extra to perform these procedures because they will usually only have one hygienist available to perform these cleanings. I've never had a bad experience at Doctor Stewarts office and it is like family when you have been going there a few years. I had to pay extra for PPO insurance with my work just to be sure I can keep going to Doctor Stewart but he is well worth it. My biggest fear is when he decides to retire. The only downside of his office is that it's very small and some mistakes are made with paperwork but they're very easy to deal with and resolve issues. If you're lucky enough to be a patient of Doctor Stewart you will realize other dentists are not honest and always seem to have extra services for you to pay for. Goto Doctor Stewart and notice how seasoned their staff is compared to other offices who choose to hire young staff with no experience.

The letter was disrespectful, condescending, and implied that I was given "excellent care and greeted warmly" and that my lack of response was DEEPLY CONCERNING. My experience was not positive, it was far from my experience - hence why I stopped going. Mind you, this is the first letter I got saying owed a balance. Meanwhile, between my last appointment in 2022, I've received called trying to get me to schedule appointments for cleanings yet never called about a balance due. The reasons I didn't go back: Ceiling tiles with water stains, run down office, and incompetent staff. I found a much better dentist to go to and not once have I had my billing errors or bad experiences. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST.
