I went in just expecting to lie down, relax, and listen to singing bowls for an hour (which would have been great on its own) but this was so much more than that! In addition to the singing bowls, there were lots of other lovely sounds. One of the healing practitioners had what looked like a large shakuhachi style flute. She would walk around and set the base down on the ground, a few inches from our bodies, and play it. And you could not only hear it- you could FEEL the vibrations resonating through your body! The best part was that one of the other healing practitioners walked around did mini Reiki sessions with each of the participants. Even though it was a group session, I experienced PROFOUND healing. I had been experiencing extreme muscle tension in my neck for the past three weeks. I had a massage earlier that week and even the massage did not relieve the tension. But a few hours after I left the sound bath, the tension was COMPLETELY GONE! Such an amazing experience! I will definitely be back!

I had toured a couple schools (closer to home and "less expensive"), but Leeza's knowledge, wisdom, experience, energy and overall love for ancient yoga practices is like nothing else I found near me. I told her I didn't want to teach when I signed up....of course she said "that's not how it works"....and almost 10 years later I finally embrace what she meant. I now love sharing practices that have helped me heal (completely halt/in remission) a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. We felt talked down to and we were embarrassed for the 2 other patrons who were talked down to also. We really wanted to love this place. It's a shame we didn't. I know the instructor has many years of experience and the whole time I was trying to have an open mind. I really appreciate places like these being in business, I just wish there were more of them to choose from. I did end up putting a tip in the tip jar because I'm a hairdresser and that's what we do. I know how hard it is to run a business. I wish this place lots of love and understanding in the future.
