I think the owners has a show but at the time my friend and I wanted some good pound cake so we decided to try this place and figured out that the owners are probably from the TV show. I couldn't tell you which one or which channel. We both thought the cake had good density and the flavor wasn't cloyingly artificial. Do not send Apple Cash for shipping. There is a reason why this platform is being requested to send money for orders. Use a form of payment you can dispute quickly and stop payment on. I understand that small businesses can be overwhelmed during the holiday season. However, being honest and transparent goes a long way. I placed an order for shipping for the Thanksgiving Holiday and was told I would receive tracking once shipped. After a few days, I still hadn't received my tracking number, so I sent a text 3 days before to confirm that my order would arrive by Thanksgiving. I was told that it would be here by Thanksgiving. Fast forward to the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving Day. I called the bakery and was quickly dismissed rudely, being advised, "We are almost closed. It's not going to get there. You have to talk to Jonathan, and he isn't here." Thirty minutes later, I finally received a tracking number showing that tracking had just been created late on 11/26, on Thanksgiving Thursday. This means I was being blatantly lied to when they texted me Sunday, 11/24, confirming that the order would arrive by Thursday. There is no way they were not aware on Sunday that they had taken too many orders and did not have the capacity, workforce, or shipping expedition to fulfill my order. It only would have taken a moment of transparency to say, "Why are you too backed to fulfill the order by Thanksgiving? Would you like a refund?" Instead, they chose to withhold my funds until after the item had been shipped too late and then sent me a tracking number that showed that my order wouldn't arrive until Friday...AFTER THANKSGIVING. This is why minority-owned small businesses get a bad reputation. This bakery is one of the statistics. Sad because I have followed them for so long and wanted to support them. read more

On July 30th, my son ordered and paid for 3 cakes for $187 to be delivered on 3 different dates. 1st one came on time, actually the day before specified date. The 2nd came a WEEK before specified date. The 3rd was due on October 6th, my birthday. We still haven't gotten it. Today is October 8th. He called October 7th, and was told it was shipped a couple of days ago, which would be the 5th. I guess ordering in advance was a little to much for this bakery to handle. I have been meaning to write a review of this bakery for years but finally getting around to it. I have been been a customer of Ms Yong for many many years and have gotten hundreds of dozen cookies from her in the past and EVERYONE loves those cookies. Not only that they are reasonably priced and easy on your wallet (great when you are buying large quantity). Additionally Ms Yong has the nicest personality and is incredibly friendly and often gives a sample of her other products. I have ordered the cakes on occasion as well as sampled her pies which all are fantastic. Her icing on the cakes are very light unlike other store bought cakes which can be heavy and too sugary. All of her products are baked on the premises and taste like your moms home made cake. If you want reasonably priced baked goods with awesome taste as well as home style baked good then head on over to her bakery. 5+++++++. read more
