I would strongly recommend getting your alterations done elsewhere. David's Bridal really pushes…read moreyou to use their alterations services, but the cost can be very high and they charge you for everything. You can buy an affordable dress here and then end up spending double or even triple the original cost once alterations are added. In my case, I purchased my dress with Olga, who told me that alterations would likely be a couple hundred dollars so I agreed to use them. When I eventually went in for alterations, I was quoted around $600 (essentially the same amount I paid for the dress itself). When I brought up what I had originally been told, Olga denied ever saying that. At that point, it was too late for me to take my dress somewhere else. What makes this especially frustrating is that my dress did not have intricate lace or anything particularly complicated that would justify such a high alteration cost. Not only was it expensive but my experience with them was terrible. After getting my dress altered, I noticed a couple of issues. The woman helping me rushed me through the fitting and told me the fix would only take about 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting almost an hour. At the end, she simply handed me the dress without expecting me to try it on one last time. When I insisted on trying it on, she rushed me through the fitting again, so I said everything looked okay. Once I got home and could try it on properly, I noticed that the bra cups were visible. I called the next day and, thankfully, they were nice enough to fix the issue. However, the overall experience with the alterations department was extremely frustrating and rushed. My advice: get an alteration quote from an independent seamstress before committing to David's Bridal alterations. Don't assume that because you bought your dress there, their alterations will be reasonably priced. I wish I had gotten a second opinion before it was too late.

When I arrived, they walked through my price point first, then confirmed what we previously discussed was still what I wanted. I was able to select a few dresses to try on and my stylist, Sara, had a few in mind as well. Coincidentally, we both picked out a few of the same dresses. Luv Bridal takes such good care of their brides. I left loving a dress and they told me to think about it. I never felt pressured to buy the same day to lock in a particular pricing. She made great selections based on the style I wanted and I ended up choosing the 3rd dress I tried on.
