I was In search for new sushi place and I just found it. First let me say that the service was great. Yokohama didn't have the rushed and impersonal feel of most of the other local sushi places in the area. Everyone who interacted with us was friendly and sincere. We sat at the sushi bar and received a fabulous complimentary amuse boche. We started with the sushi pizza and edamame appetizers. The sushi pizza was good- actually had the consistency of real pizza. For our entree we both a sweetheart roll without rice. The sushi was so good and so fresh. We were both so happy with the food. i have been in this restaurant many time and as far as the food is concerned, there is nothing negative, at least the dishes that I had. Now the bad, their service is great to a fault, meaning that they rush you the hell out the minute you step into the restaurant. Therefore, if you don't mind being rushed, then that's great go, you will love the food but if you are meeting friends or want a leisurely meal, I suggest going somewhere else. I get that they are busy, and want to turn their tables fast but not at the expense of my eating confort. read more

Honestly maybe the best sushi I've had on Long Island. The fish is insanely fresh and they have a ton of great sushi roll options. Came for lunch on the weekend, and it was not as busy which I love. And love that there's the option of outdoor seating. Really prompt and dedicated service from all the staff and great attention to detail with all the dishes. The cod was superb - just the right silky smooth texture. We went for the 2010 and No. 5 rolls because they just have everything you could want in em, and they didn't disappoint. Would certainly get those rolls again but also want to try others. Wow. Just wow. Went here for the first time on Saturday night with my girlfriend and it was amazing . We had no reservation and they were busy. The nice kind hostess told us it would be about 5-10 mins so we sat at the bar in the meantime, after 4 mins they had our table READY. We sat down and ordered apps and they came to the table within 10 mins. The service really is amazing, I opened my chopsticks and within 15 seconds a server came by and took away the trash from the sticks. Constantly refilled our water the whole time. GREAT! so the food was also amazing highly recommend any sashimi. Once we finished the check came and inside the bill fold was 2 York peppermint patties very nice touch and an amazing meal. Will definitely be back and is now our new favorite sushi spot on the island. Management is doing the right thing here!!!! read more

My husband and in-laws have dined here for years, I've had it several times myself. The food is always good, anything from sushi, bento boxes to seafood udon soup. The owner is friendly, always greets my family with warm welcome. The prices have gone up but with inflation, that's true everywhere. It's nice to know that there's a Japanese restaurant we can always return when we're feeling Japanese. My only suggestion is "what about ramen?" :D read more

I really need to go in, instead of ordering. The chirashi dinner and sashimi dinner came perfect. A lot of fish and all fresh. None of it too slimy or too fishy. The chirashi there is a good balance of rice to fish. The special rolls on the other hand. We ordered a Tokoyo Roll, Tuna trio, and rainbow roll. Again, all felt and tasted fresh. The shrimp wonton soup is a must have for the cold days, along with their pork soup dumpling. They have a full bar with top shelf liquor. The spicy rolls were the consistency of baby food. The mango tuna had very little mango, and the Cajun tuna avocado was devoid of anything Cajun. The spicy mayo tasted like plain mayo, and the soups were inedible. I poured them in my sink and had to spray freshener in my kitchen because it smelled worse than it tasted.
