I found him through TripAdvisor when I was seaching for a private circle tour. We were a group of two, and I wanted something small, custom and personal, over an impersonal group tour. If you are looking for the same, Dan is your man. Booking through the external sites is easy, but I recommend calling Dan and booking through him directly. He is polite and prompt in his service. He has a fleet of three vehicles: two jeeps and a van. We took a tour in one of his Jeeps. We scheduled a pickup at our Waikiki Beach hotel the day before. He picked us up promptly at 7am for our tour on the scheduled day. He was very professional, fun and a great conversationalist. He took us to some very beautiful spots of places with names I have trouble pronouncing. He will point out the spots of simple beauty, but also take you to places you never knew you needed to visit. Every place he goes, he has a story or experience there. He seems to know everyone, which makes your tour very efficient. He also adjusts your tour's pace to you, and you will never feel rushed. Some of the lookouts and beaches were so breathtaking. The Pipeline Beach area is a must. You would think places like that do not exist, but WOW. Even if you are not a surf fan, you will appreciate a stop there. The restaurants he takes you to are great! We stopped at Fumi's and Aoki's and I was impressed by both. The shopping area we went to on the North Shore was nice. Lots of photo ops, and Dan will even show you some filming locations from movies and tv shows. We got lucky and even saw quite a few whales during our tour! Overall, this is probably one of the best private tours I have been on in all my years of traveling. He came highly recommended by a friend for our friend's birthday wish to cruise around the north shore, and it was absolutely the best day we could have imagined. The boat was the perfect size for our small group of 6, making for a more personal and intimate experience. Romeo, the captain, was so personable and kind, and has great knowledge of the island having lived here for many years. We saw a pod of spinner dolphins not long after departing the harbor (which is common to see around there) and Romeo made sure we were able to snorkel near them. It was truly incredible! Romeo also took us to a spot near one of the beaches where we could snorkel more and just hang out on the water. We were able to play our own music through his boat speakers while hanging out and taking in the amazing views of the island. It was liking having our own party boat :-) The whole trip we had more laughs than we could count watching everyone take a ride on the inflation raft Romeo provided. He also went faster for those of us who wanted more of a challenge ;) I can't imagine having a better experience, and 110% recommend Romeo for anyone looking for an incredible day on the water. I booked a private boat tour today 8/24 to scatter the remainder of my dad's ashes. I had plans to…read morestop in Chinatown to pick up some flower petals and we lost track of time. I have two young kids and getting them out of the house is a struggle. We had to drop them off at my mother's house on the way to Haleiwa. We couldn't make it to Chinatown which I was really bummed about because I really wanted to honor my dad and do a nice final send-off. I called Jared because we got lost, and he was very helpful in guiding where the boat is and the name of it. We arrived about 10 mins early and were greeted by Captain Alex on the Flyer. The boat used today was a deep-sea fishing boat and a little larger than the Banzai one they use per Jared. That actually made me feel better because all 3 of us (myself, husband, and bestfriend) get seasick. Captain Alex shook each of our hand and introduced himself to us and had rose petals and plumerias for me to use. I was soooo relieved and so thankful he went and did that. The extra kindness and gesture goes a long way! The ride was good, and we didn't really feel sick at all. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and I believe dad loved it! The music was like old school local and matched the vibes. After scattering, my husband and bestfriend let Captain Alex know we can go back. Our trip was actually short which I didn't expect to stay until 11am as it was also really hot and only the 3 of us. It was nice and intimate and just what I envisioned. Anyway, I would highly recommend Banzai Adventures! I was debating between this company and Oahu Ash Scattering. I read the reviews and I'm so glad I didn't go with them. Also, I believe the companies usually charge you if you wanted a bag of loose petals but Captain Alex had generously offered them to us. We were worried about the rainy weather but Nandor told us not to worry and I'm glad we trusted him because even though our hike began with a downfall, it cleared up and switched between cloudy/misty and sunny. The weather was perfect for the hike because if it was all sunny, I think it would've been too hot. Only thing was it was extremely muddy but fear not, our guide came prepared. He has spikes for us as well as extra rope since somehow all of the normal ropes that were supposed to be on the trail were cut down or removed. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. If you need recommendations for other trails basically anywhere, this is your man! He's been around so many places and has hiked and explored almost all the places I could think of. I'm pretty sure I would've fallen off the ridges or slipped and tumbled my way to certain injury if it weren't for his guide and ensuring our safety. The highlight of our trip was taking the Segway tour in Kailua! We've been to Hawaii an number of times and decided that this time we were going to do something different, and this tour hit the mark for sure! At first we almost jokingly thought we would be such dorks riding around on Segway's but it was super fun and we loved the awesome helmets we got to wear as well. To start, we got a quick 10 min. training and by the end we were riding like pros. The Segway was super intuitive so no one felt awkward or unsafe. Within minutes we were zipping around the parking lot and tearing it up on the dirt paths on the tour. Our guides took pictures of us along the way, and videos, and sent us home with a DVD with all those goodies on it so we could remember the tour. Along the tour we also stopped as several beach spots and they were AMAZING. We returned the next day to hang out on the beach and had a blast. This is something that we loved and I would recommend it for sure. I'm guessing we'll be back next time we visit Oahu!

My mom was traveling back home alone after a doctor's visit on Oahu and needed wheelchair assistance. I found out that they had initially forgot to wheel her to the plane, leaving her to sit alone in the waiting area until a worker finally noticed her. With all the staff I saw standing around, I'm surprised that could even happen. Then, upon arrival on Lana'i, they didn't bring a wheelchair up the ramp for her, forcing her to shuffle down instead. On the Oahu side, the workers like to hang around the small check-in desk and talk loudly during their breaks. My mom is semi-deaf. If she could hear them, that's a problem. Two employees were also standing around outside "on break," vaping near the customer entrance. Their vape smells was not appreciated for those of us who have sensitive noses. Seriously disappointed with the whole situation. They need to do better.
