Went there in December 2024 and did the Complete Island Adventure Tour with Waterfall package…read more This company takes only a small group at a time (maybe less than 7 or 8 people) for their tours. So if you are looking for an Oahu Island tour that involves only a small group of people in a van (compared to a bus full of people), this is a great option! They would send an email confirmation that contains reminders and useful information to prepare for the tour. We were picked up near our hotel in the morning. We first stopped at Green World Coffee Farm. Had some coffee and muffins. They have a store connected to the coffee shop where they sell shirts and other things. We then went to Waimea Gardens and Waterfall. It was a nice walk/hike to the waterfall where one could see different flowers, trees, and other plants. Next stop was Banzai Pipeline before our lunch at Kahuku where there were so many different delicious options from different food trucks. After lunch, we went to Kualoa Regional Park where the Chinaman's Hat is (Mokoli'i), Byodo-In Temple, and Pali & Makapu'u Lookouts. Last stop was at a Leonard's Bakery food truck which was great since there was not a line to get the malasadas. Andrew, our guide, was amazing! We learned a lot about the island and the places around. He gave us great photo ideas and tips on how to take nice shots. At all stops, he took our photos with our phones and his camera/phone which he later shared with everyone. After the tour, he even shared a list of recommendations for places/things to do in the island. This was a great tour of the island. Highly recommended!

Really really enjoyed our private tour with Kevin!!!! This is THE BEST private tour in Honolulu. This tour provided me with everything I wished for and more!!!! First off, the communication from the initial booking and final email confirmation was very professional. Kevin promptly responded via text and email. He even gave tips on things (other than his tour) to do during our stay. Kevin picked us up on time at our Waikiki hotel. I immediately recognized his love/passion for his job, personalizing the tour to meet our needs and his knowledge of the island. We had amazing donuts at the famous Leonard's Bakery. Cold waters were provided throughout the day and we had an amazing lunch at a famous food truck stop. Kevin suggested several dishes; which we tried. The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Throughout the tour, we saw some of THE most amazing private beaches and lookout points. I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the beaches were. Kevin was very accommodating! He was informative, gave a few history lessons, was very out-going and gave us a fabulous experience. More than anything, Kevin is "good peeps"...family man who works hard! I couldn't imagine spending 6 hours with a jerk or someone I didn't vibe with. To put the cherry on the top..Kevin took pictures of us and sent them soon as the tour ended. He really goes out of his way to make his customers happy. What are you waiting for????? Book this tour. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. It's worth the money.

We hired Private Tours Hawaii for guest transportation for our wedding, and Adam was fantastic to…read morework with from the very beginning. Our original venue was Waimea Valley, which required some extra transportation logistics, including special insurance requirements for shuttling guests within the property. Adam was incredibly helpful in working through all of that with us. He was friendly, responsive, and proactive, and even rented an additional van to help accommodate the venue's requirements. From day one, it felt like he was willing to work with us to make things happen rather than just sticking to the easiest option. The real curveball came the morning of our wedding, when flash flooding forced us to cancel our original plans and completely move the wedding to a new venue on the next day. At that point, all of the original transportation planning for Waimea Valley was no longer needed, and we had to pivot quickly. Adam was extremely flexible through all of it and helped us reorganize transportation for the new venue without adding stress to an already overwhelming situation. On the actual wedding day, he and Ron handled guest transportation to Lanikuhonua smoothly and professionally. Adam built in lots of buffer for unpredictable Oahu traffic, which we really appreciated, and when there was extra time, they even gave our guests a quick little sightseeing tour on the way. It was such a fun touch and helped make the transportation feel like part of the experience rather than just a shuttle ride. What stood out most to us was Adam's attitude throughout the process. He was organized, communicative, flexible, and genuinely pleasant to work with, even when our plans changed drastically. In a wedding where so many things had to be reworked in less than 24 hours, having vendors like Private Tours Hawaii made all the difference. We're very grateful to Adam and Ron and would absolutely recommend Private Tours Hawaii not just for tours, but for wedding transportation as well.

Following, we went off for a quick hike that had us scaling a volcanic cliff for some magnificent views (be sure to bring a good camera/charger for your phone). We finished the afternoon off at a wonderful local farm to table joint called: Monkey Pod Kitchen. Consensus from the family said the tour was truly one of the highlights of the trip! Needless to say, I thought I would get attitude from my 8 yr old. He's a gamer and would rather be on his DS or iPad. But he LOVED it. Lessons on making fire and husking a coconut were so interesting. Got to taste fresh coconut. All the while, the jokes kept coming, non-stop. It was time well spent. Highly recommend this tour for locals and visitors. But don't forget to bring cash. $20 Adults, ($15 kamaaina) and $10 for kids. Note, they used to have an ATM there but it was stolen. Auwe!

We explored trails, plantations, waterfalls, beaches, snorkeling, and ended up at 60' cliff where a couple of the guys were brave enough to jump into the ocean. We capped off the adventure-packed day with a stop at a BBQ joint. So. Much. Fun. I'm happy to see Mitch is still doing his thing and not surprised by the stellar reviews.
