My husband and I were in the area and decided to stop in for some dessert. The reason we chose here is because of the dairy free options. I usually only see a sorbet kind of yogurt at these types of places, and was excited to see there is actually a soft-serve dairy free option of vanilla, chocolate, or twist. Pretty disappointed about our experience today, and unfortunately this has become a pattern the last several times we've been here. The person (today it turned out to be 2 people working) just sit in the back until you get up to the cash register to pay. My sister wanted sample cups and we waited for several minutes for someone to come out, but no one ever came until we were at the register ready to pay. I don't understand how that is acceptable to management - when I worked retail it was absolutely required that we were out in the store when customers were there. 5-7 minutes went by without someone coming out to greet or help us. This is disappointing because it didn't use to be like this. In fact, we stopped going to Menchie's for that reason and they closed soon after. Hopefully Yogurtini can improve this because it really makes the experience not worth it. read more

And the topping selections were vast. They offer 20% off for seniors, and their prices are reasonable without the discount. I had the lemon cheesecake swirl with fresh strawberries. Very good! Took my autistic grandson on Friday evening and again today, and to my surprise did not improve. Friday evening ny grandson by mistake touched some of the candy and after apologizing to them and explaining he was autistic they did not bother to care. Instead kept making faces at each other and rolling their eyes at my grandsons actions. Today we returned and it seemed like they recognized us and upon paying the blonde gave me a sarcastic thank you. These two have no knowledge how autistic kids are in deed. They are one of the few froyo places left in Surprise. They offer a variety of flavors, some are staples and some are seasonal. They have all of the typical toppings for frozen yogurt. With COVID they individually pack all of the toppings so you have a 2 oz cup of toppings with a lid to carry home or dump into your creation on the spot. I enjoy their reward program. Every 2 trips I have a $5 off coupon which is a pretty quick turnaround! The parking lot can be pretty busy with a gym and restaurants near by. My wife and I came in about 8:30 and while it's been a while since we've been here and always loved it, we each got medium bowls and during check-out I showed my military ID and the bill came to $28.62 which is more expensive than getting a large bone-in ribeye at Texas Roadhouse and more expensive than an extra large supreme pizza at Barro's or what it would take to buy two of about any meals someone could buy at Applebee's or most any other restaurant. While I gave a $2 tip my wife got the receipt and we saw that they did not apply any military discount and when we asked the server, she showed the note on the cash register that said "Military Discount is only available before 5PM which we thought was ludicrous as we were about 10 miles from Luke AFB but the only thing that really came to mind is that since most of those people don't get off until 4:30PM but most people like myself with 22 years time in service spent about a third of my career on the other side of the world doing my job so people back in the U.S. could do theirs but even stateside, military members are working shifts that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Bottom line the note was not just stupid but infuriating and the people working there had no clue of why someone might feel that way. We are never going back and wouldn't spend another dime in such a place. read more

I'm afraid they just lost a twice-weekly customer for good. The flavors constantly change, which is fine for many, but not for someone with a lot of allergies and only one she can eat, Silk. When I went in today, nope..all they are going to carry is chocolate (which for lpr is a huge no) as well as getting rid of the swirl as well as the vanilla. They are replacing one with watermelon, are you serious?! I don't blame the staff, but their supplier allegedly not the owner making these changes, bad form. They lost most of their crew who were excellent replacing them with a lot of immature , younger teenaged girls. The one this evening, although friendly enough, was too busy with her rude girlfriend, was to busy to tend to her customers. Her friend was constantly in my way invading my space, and altho I indicated I wasn't amused, just kept on her playing with the yogurtini employee. The girl behind the counter, dropped one of my yogurts while bagging them, paying attention to the other girl & then me almost forgetting my wallet because of her friend was in the way right next to the scale (she was also in a space when I had to move her that is against the rules of yogurtini thus me not being able to get to the spoons. This place is hip & super fun! They've made some design changes recently and now it's not only a fun place to grab dessert, it's also a fun place to hang out, play games, and check out local artists.
