Located at the entrance of Westfield, Gelatissimo offers a tantalising variety of gelato, sundae's, rich chocolates, coffee and biscotti. For those who have special dietary requirements, Gelatissimo also offer a range of gluten and dairy free products. I don't usually bother with the coffee and biscotti, so I can't say much for the quality of these items, but after sampling about half the flavours on offer, I can safely say that Gelatissimo's gelato is delicious. From your traditional Chocolate and Lemon, to the more sophisticated Caramalised Fig and Honey Toffee Malt (my favourite), Gelatissimo's vast range of flavours will please even the most fussy eater. Customer service is average and disinterested, but when you're scooping ice cream all day, I guess there isn't too much to get excited about. My only other complaint is Gelatissimo's prices, which are pretty steep. Three scoops of gelato will cost you about the same as a meal from a fast food joint, if not more, depending on what size you choose. Gelatissimo has great gelato at premium prices. So the next time you need to cool down, check it out and grab a cone (or tub).

I didn't get a strong espresso flavor as it would have, but the ratio of almond bits and gelato was just right - occasionally crunchiness hidden within the creaminess of gelato. The second flavor we ordered was the poached strawberry with balsamic vinegar. The acidity from balsamic vinegar and strawberry was muted yet complimented the gelato base. We got lucky because after we waited to order, there was a huge line behind us. They have a variety of ice cream flavors plus other items on their menu like cakes and teas. The staff was very patient with us as my sister wanted to order a milkshake which is different in the States compared to Australia. My sister wanted to make sure that what she expected in a milkshake would be understood and reciprocated to the staff. Even though they don't normally make a milkshake like the States do, they did their best. I enjoyed my ice cream and it was perfect to end the night.
