Unlike other stores, the employees here were more consultative. We found an option we really liked and Kelly helped walk us through the process and expected delivery. She gave us great personalized service and was very communicative throughout the whole process. In the end, the recliner was delivered even sooner than original anticipated, and we are very satisfied with the quality. Even the delivery experience was positive -- I'd never seen such an upbeat delivery driver. In a world of big box stores and cheap products, The Bedroom Source is a great reminder that shopping at a local family business can give you a great product with a great experience and a great price. Instead of taking real accountability, we were told there was only a '50/50 chance' of fixing it and that we might need to deal with a duplicate charge, essentially holding two charges at once, until the right bed was ready. A duplicate charge for a mistake that was not ours is not a solution. It is unfair and unacceptable, and now we'll have to wait at least an additional month for the correct bed to be delivered. This was not our mistake, yet the options presented still left us facing extra charges and unnecessary stress while this Macy's location avoided taking responsibility for its negligence. The way this store handled the situation showed careless customer service. They brushed off their own mistake instead of taking it seriously or being proactive, which forced us to escalate to another employee. We trusted Macy's because of its name, but this experience proved that reputation means nothing without real customer care. I wish I had looked at the Yelp reviews beforehand because it is clear my experience is not the only one like this. If you expect accountability or reliable customer service, look to another nearby furniture store in the area. Responsibility is simply not a part of how this Macy's location operates.

They denied my claim saying that if I didn't report the claim within 30 days of first noticing, they denied the claim. Please do not buy anything from Modani. I paid over $800 for the protection plan and they won't honor it. The couch was more than $4000 and now it's worth nothing because it's badly stained. My worse regret was not reading the other reviews before I purchased from Modani. Never again. As their furniture is unique and beautiful, their quality and service is very poor.

On September 1, 2025, my husband and I ordered a table and six…read morechairs at Modani Furniture Garden City for the price of $4519.61, which included an extended warranty and white glove service delivery. The products were delivered on September 17, 2025. The day of delivery, we noticed that the table had not been assembled properly, as it was visibly slanted. We contacted the store manager, Rick Ramcharan, to report the issue. He advised us to file a claim with the warranty company, Extend, which then sent two technicians to address the problem. However, the technicians did not fix the issue, and the table remained slanted. They incorrectly claimed that the problem was due to an uneven floor. The technicians were supposed to remove and adjust the top section of the table, as described in the instructions, but they failed to perform this work. Modani Customer Service closed the case based on a technician's report that inaccurately described the work performed. The report stated: "Service tech uninstalled extending tables, tech adjusted and reinstalled top table mechanism and rails properly in close position and extended position and reinstalled extending tables." This description was incorrect. The technician neither adjusted nor reinstalled the top table mechanism. They also did not uninstall the leaves as claimed. Instead, they simply used a wrench and an Xex key to adjust the height of the screws on both leaves of the table. They never touched the middle section of the table, which is where the actual problem lies. We sent responses to Rick and Modani customer service and no one has bothered to send us a response to rectify the issue. Instead, they are choosing to ignore paying customers. See the attached pictures of the thousands of dollars spent and we are now stuck with a clearly visible slanted table. I would NEVER recommend Modani to anyone.
