I used to love shopping at Urban Outfitters when I was younger. I was so happy when this store…read morefirst arrived at Westfarms. However, it's just not my vibe anymore, sure I'll still pop inside every once in a while, but I generally walk out empty handed. Most items are very overpriced, and the quality is below average to average, the quality certainly doesn't reflect the cost. Even the items that are marked down are still high. They have a really nice collection of cool, quirky home and decor items. These might be worthy of the higher cost, and sometimes you might get lucky to find them marked down. These are a good option for a gift or as an eye catching piece in your home. I like going to Urban Outfitters, and at this point I'm no longer surprised at the high cost of their clothing. The targeted market is college age, I'm not sure how their budgets allow it. Some of their similar items can be found at other places at a lower cost. Shop smartly.

Is it possible to leave 0 stars? WHAT A TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!…read more On 1/12/20, I went to this store to return something I received as a gift. Prior to my arrival, I had checked online to confirm the return policy for online gift purchases, so I knew I was supposed to receive merchandise credit for my return. I had been given a gift receipt, which I mistakenly thought would make the return process easier. Turns out I was very very wrong! The woman working looks at the product and the gift receipt and attempts to process my return. She appears confused due to the fact that their system shows that ONE of the THREE items on the gift receipt had already been returned. Since this was A GIFT, I'm not sure what that has to do with my return. The manager is called over, and claims (FALSELY) that she can't process the return in store, but need to do it on through the customer service 800 number. (I would later learn from customer service that this was NOT TRUE! And that my return should have been handled in store by that manager) After wasting more time waiting while the clerk talks to customer service, she finally tells me that a store credit is going to be emailed to me, and I provide my email address. It seemed like things were on track-- they were NOT. She hangs up and tells me everything is all set, and that I should receive the email with the store credit "in like an hour". I'm a little hesitant at this point, since it is a well known fact that email is INSTANT and does not take an hour to arrive. But, ok, I agree to hang out at the mall a little longer, while I wait to get the email. Mind you, they took the product I was returning and gave me NOTHING in return! No paper or receipt or email or ANYTHING AT ALL to document the fact that I just returned a $77 product!! I kill some time in the mall, and still haven't received my email with store credit. I go back into the store. I now see that THE LITERAL ITEM I RETURNED HAS BEEN PLACED OUT ON DISPLAY FOR SALE! Yet, I still have nothing! The clerk acts clueless and calls customer service again, supposedly confirms that I'll be getting my email credit soon and that there is nothing she can do to help me. I'm NoT comfortable with this, but I also don't want to cause a scene! I call customer service myself on the ride home and learn: 1- none of this was necessary- since they could and should have processed my return in store! 2- a refund HAS been issued- just not to me! They refunded it to the person who gave me the gift! Awesome. That's not awkward!! 3- because it's the weekend, I will have to wait til the following day for the proper department to resolve this. The next day comes and goes, with not a word from urban outfitters, and no sign of my credit. I call AGAIN, and after a few minutes, am told issue was resolved, I check my email whiLe on phone and have been received the credit. Instantly. As it should have been from the start. So, basically, hours of my time have been WASTED, and I have to deal with all of this unnecessary bs, just to get back WHAT I WAS ENTITLED TO ALREADY!!
