No one has responded to my request for a phone call to explain why the class was suddenly cancelled, leaving me with no child care.

At least you will get a full body workout from which you will be pretty sore for several days afterwards. I took my wife to do this as a surprise for her. She was totally freaking out when we drove into the parking lot. So was I because I've never done it before and the setup looks scary. We did it along with three other young kids who are probably not even half of my age. They made it look so easy, and they were able to do all the moves including the final catch beautifully. I tried four times and still couldn't complete the final catch. From the video I looked like a dead fish hanging on rope, but this is totally worthy! The staff are awesome. Miguel, Jane and Anthony are hyper energetic, and they definitely saw the fear in our eyes, so they tried everything to encourage us and made this a really fun experience.

At that age, it's very hard to keep their attention but the coaches here are very patient and attentive. We thought Coach Nick was great. And we have noticed some improvement with my nephew's soccer skills. He can now run and kick the ball with no problem. Sometimes he even gets the ball into the net. It's a great 45-minute class and he enjoyed going every Sunday. The coaches are so great with the kids and the activities are very engaging. The parents are asked to participate so we've gotten quite the workout during these classes. I love that the classes are indoors, and they have benches to sit on, so you can watch the kids during class. I'll be honest though, the first time we came here we got lost. The signage for this facility could use some work. The building is shared by several athletic programs and the entrance for Lil Athletes is off on the side street. You can easily bypass it. The facility itself is large and there are plenty of room for kids to run around. It's a great program and helps younger kids improve on their socialization skills while getting a fun workout. We've already signed him up for another session this summer.

The night before i found schoolhouse play & cafe and decided to book the open play. It DID NOT disappoint. We got there a little too early so they had just finished a class. So we went to get some coffee and a treat at Elise's cafe while we waited. I look outside into the adorable courtyard and see in the window of the school house the ladies thoroughly cleaning it all up. Mamas, it felt so clean in there. Put it this way, there was no dirt on my white socks from this place. The set up is adorable in there. So many fun toys for my son to play with, while also being just the right size so i can always have eyes on him. He had a great time. I also loved that they had a bucket so if any kids put a toy in their mouth, it goes right into the dirty bucket so no other kids can touch it. My son conked right out as soon as we got home. Which is exactly what i needed and wanted. He had such a blast. Also the girls that work there were so sweet. You can tell they know exactly what they are doing and have a good system. We've tried a few other places, of which my overall impression was pretty poor, but look, I'm not expecting them to start lap swimming before they're 5 years old - that being said, I like how the student to instructor ratio is low (1:4 at the most - I taught in the town of hempstead and would do 15-20 kids to myself regularly) how it's separated and the instructors themselves. I'm sure that as time goes on we'll pivot as schedules allow, but I think this is a great place for those who's kids are already comfortable in the water and able to listen to instructions.
