I took a step away from Yoga after the Pandemic. I needed time to heal my body and mind, as well as work on my new career path. Though word of mouth I heard about The Yoga Shack, the classes, the Vibe , The humans that practiced there. So I was intrigued to see if this Unicorn of a Studio was the real deal. I an blessed and humbled to say that the teachers I practiced with Michelle and Lindsey went way over the bar that had been set by referrals and the story I had told myself about them. Michelle is a laid back, but does not skip over the details of the poses. She's always has her eyes on all the students to make sure they are safe and cuing the poses to fit their practice. She is my teacher, and one of the many mentors I have had in my life to become a better Yoga teacher myself Lindsey, her energy is all love. Made the poses " All Levels." and I was just super comfortable in her class. You walk into her class, the energy feels like you are home. Unfortunately, with my Job I can only go to classes Friday's and Sunday's. But I'm hoping in the fall after my " Running season." is over I get to experience one of the other teacher's offerings. I mean they do offer online classes, but with working from home, and my eyes always on the stock market. I do not like to practice online, cause I do not get the proper chance to unplug while I practice. The community is amazing, and Cindy can read oracle cards, till we meet again Yoga Shack. A little over 8 months ago, my wife convinced me to try Yoga for the first time at the Yoga Shack (at this time, it was in the back of a house in a yoga studio built out of a den). Now, for me, I was never the person to get into "fitness" activities that wasn't a pick up sport. You couldn't find me at the gym either for more than a month. I went to the first class with little expectation, and I left with an eye opening experience. Yoga at the Yoga Shack was so much more than holding poses, or deep stretches. It was about love, laughter, and a good time for an hour or so (however long the class lasted). After finding myself going once or twice a week, it soon developed into a 3x a week habit (more if I had the time). But I can safely say I wouldn't be sticking with it 8 + months later if it wasn't for the awesome instructors. Cindy and Michelle make the classes worth while ( as do the other teachers there! ). They make every class an experience, where we can joke around, have fun and really challenge yourselves to bring the best each and every day. Like I said, I would have never considered myself someone to be into Yoga, but because of the Yoga Shack, I couldn't be happier that Yoga is part of my life now. THANK YOU, YOGA SHACK!!! read more

I've been a student at The Yoga Shack in Bethpage since they opened over two years ago, and I wanted to pass on info. about an amazing special they are running right now for new students. 50$ for a month of unlimited meditation and yoga classes. Clear your head and find your balance while getting a great workout for your mind, body, and spirit. They offer about 30 different classes a week ranging from gentle to advanced, and even restorative classes. They offer many different times as well, ranging from 6am (rise and shine, get it done before your workday) to 8pm (wind yourself down after a long day) The atmosphere is positive and inviting, the people are amazing, & the teachers are friendly and supportive. I have to give props where props are due! Literally! Like many of us who have picked up movement as a new hobby in quarantine, I re-picked up yoga (no laughs). In doing so, I realized my mat was double digits old (I was also using 2 thin mats hoping to make one halfway decent mat! The horror!) and wanted a bolster and another blanket for restorative yoga. I read things online, but decided to consult with The Yoga Shack in Bethpage-I am so glad I did! They gave me great advice and dropped off what I needed-contactless! I began taking yoga at the Yoga Shack during the winter break. I have had the most cathartic experience. Each instructor takes the time to meet you at your skill set and every yoga class I have taken there, feeds my soul!!! The breathing, the music, the aroma all add to the zen-like atmosphere. I am currently taking the beginner series with Kevin and he plays a new instrument towards the end of each session. 10/4/2022 - Fall Hunter Retreat I just attended the Yoga Shack fall Hunter retreat (yoga & meditation). Once again, this was an awesome retreat that was suitable for all experience levels. As always, Cindy and Michelle put their heart and soul into making this a great weekend for everyone. I felt such a good and positive vibe. It was a time to learn, look inward, relax and also connect with others. I enjoyed the yoga, meditation, sound healing, hiking, food, laughter, and community! The Yoga Shack is truly an incredible find and hidden gem! Coming from years of loving yoga I was ecsatic to have found this amazing studio on groupon (which is an amazing deal if you just want to check the place out). I've been wanting to try yoga for months now, but didn't know what to expect or where to start! I signed up about a month ago and since the first day I walked into The Yoga Shack the energy was exactly what I was looking for. Everyone from the instructors to the students are awesome and extremely helpful. What a lovely studio. I started coming here in the fall of 2015. The instructors are warm, friendly, encouraging, non judgmental. It's obvious that they have a passion for what they do. Class size is small, and the studio has an intimate feeling about it from the soft light filtering through the sheer curtains to the candles adorning the fireplace. The instructors are great at varying the class to suit the levels of the students. Take a class and I'm sure you will be back for more. read more

I was lucky enough to practice in this beautiful space this week. While taking class, you could look out to the luscious green backyard. Such a treat for a yoga class. Michelle was helpful and knowledgable in the practice and I felt truly comfortable at my own level. All the other practitioners said all the classes and other teachers are equally as fabulous and I'm excited to go back. Yoga was never an interest for me, until you meet the ladies at "The Yoga Shack" they give an amazing feel to both beginners and advanced visitors and they have an amazing vibe that they provide to "The Shack" - Cindy And Michelle are definitely worth the trip to enjoy a class if you have never been to one. I am not flexible and didn't think I could do yoga. I was nervous and embarrassed. But, my friend who does yoga regularly wanted me to come with her. Boy, am I glad I did. I love that they offer a wide range of classes & workshops that both challenge you and allow you to grow personally. I joined Yoga Shack over a year ago and have happily been a part of the Shack Tribe ever since! Cindy and Michelle are awesome owners and instructors and they have classes for everyone's level and interests! This is a very warm and inviting yoga place. Cindy and Michele are amazing instructors. I found the classes to be an experience. I love when Michele said there is always a reason or a story that always brings you to your mat. I love their workshops and their weekend classes. Their vegan picnic is delicious. The Hunter Retreat with the Yoga Shack was fantastic. The accommodations were great and all the people were like-minded and fun. In addition to yoga and medication we also went hiking and kayaking.
