Lovely spacious studio with natural light coming in through the windows. I accidentally walked into the wrong (the meditation?) studio (they have separate doors), but the instructor was so gracious and kind about it and directed me to the second door. Becca, my instructor, was so comfortable to be with, and the hour was really wonderful. I would recommend the yoga experience to anyone. I know when I have connected with the yoga experience because afterwards I feel a thousand times more relaxed, stretched, at peace than I was before class (and before this class I was particularly needing some help accessing my conscious self). YogaLife gets 5 Zen Stars from me. Also, Becca's studio offers yoga teacher training as well (10 weekends and about one weekend a month I believe for your 200 hours) and you can join at any weekend since they are separate sessions, so if you are interested in that, I would definitely recommend coming to check out a regular class to see what you think. read more

I was a frequent yoga class attendee until a fall dislocated my shoulder. I had several months of rehabilitation and was very nervous to get back into my yoga routine for fear of slippage. I moved to OKC very recently and figured now is as good a time as any to give it a go (new place, new attitude, right?). I was specifically looking for a studio that had a gentle class so I could ease myself back in. (I had done a bit at home at this point, but felt a gentle class would be the best way to get back into the groove for my body). I signed up for the Gentle Yoga class at YogaLife Studio in Norman with Kaye. It was perfect and just what I needed. While the gentle class definitely caters to an older generation, it worked wonders for what I needed. Kaye also offered plenty of modifications so that if I felt I wanted a bit "more" I was able to get right into it without missing a beat. She guides you through just perfectly without it feeling like a competition. After all, your yoga practice should be your own.. not the person next to or across from you! The studio is small, but nice and clean - and they are opening a new one right next door soon so they can accommodate more people. It's about a 40 minute ride for me, but it's worth it and I'll be continuing my yoga practice there, while I still live at the south end of town. read more

I have been nothing but impressed with Becca and her studio. I usually go after work and I look forward to every class. Becca knows her stuff, but is a lot of fun to practice with. I love how she walks around to check on everyone's form and always includes variations for different experience and flexibility levels. She is serious about yoga but she does not take herself seriously so everyone is at ease. I have also done classes with Kaye Robertson who is equally pleasant and knowledgeable. She is a sweet soul and former dancer who tends to teach in the mornings and I have been told is a great person to take private lessons from. One of my favorite things about YogaLife is how easy it is to buy and enroll in classes online. Unlike typical gyms and studios, you do not sign up for a 6-week course, but instead buy individual classes and sign up for what fits your schedule (as long as it is not full - which you can see online, too). You can buy as many classes as you want and you have the entire year from when you purchase them to use them up. You can even do family plans. Becca and her other instructors also offer private yoga lessons, which are just scheduled as individual sessions with the instructor of your choice. Whether you are looking into doing yoga for the first time or you are an expert yogi, YogaLife is a great place. Men and women of all ages come to support one another and have fun and YogaLife provides all the props (mats incl.) you could ever need. I practiced at the campus gym for a semester before finding this place, I'm very glad I did. Before moving to Norman, I took yoga classes a couple times a week, so I'm by no means advanced. The classes here focus on hatha and gentle yoga, so they are good for all levels. A more advanced class is offered Saturday mornings for those who are more serious. It's a small studio, so class times can be limited, but there is always something that works (no Sunday classes) so I can make it at least once a week. They offer a good student discount and you purchase passes by class instead of month, so if you don't get to go as often as you'd like, it's no loss. Both the instructors and the students are very friendly, it's a nice little community. read more

I really love going to YogaLife. I am in my mid-40s and not in great shape and yoga has really made me feel better. Becca, the owner, is very funny and very nice and I've always loved her classes. I've recently taken classes with Kaye Robertson and I just love her. She is gentle and really gets you to pay attention to your body, explains everything really well, and gives lots of explanations of how to modify poses based on how your body feels. She also has a really soothing, pleasant voice. Despite the fact that she is gentle, you end up getting a great workout. read more
