This was such a great chance to hit the pause button and reset myself! I did not realize how much I really really needed this. I finished an hour of reiki feeling so at peace and relaxed. It felt like a weight had been lifted off of me. The salt cave is so nice and such a beautifully zen place. (I want a salt cave in my home now) Diana is hands up and down amazing. She's so patient, open minded, understanding, & has such a warm welcoming personality. I did an hour of reiki with her and wish I lived closer to go more often. She has an amazingly warm and gentle touch that made this reiki session even more comforting! Once we finished the session, the messages she had received and given me from the session were SPOT ON! It was exactly what I have been saying and feeling and wanting to work on and what I needed to hear and helped motivate me further. If you are looking for somewhere to go and press pause /reset & decompress, I highly recommend going here, you won't regret it.

I am sure the classes are good, if only I was able to get there. So I was visiting from out of…read moretown, and booked a class with this studio on the MINDBODY app. I followed the directions of Google Map to try to get to the studio (518 Mill Street). However, Google Map led me to a building where there were no yoga studios. It took me a few minutes and asking around to figure out that the studio was down the street (the street numbers must have shifted on this street). When I finally reached the studio, the class was already in session and the studio was locked. So I did not get to go to the class. I called the business number listed on MINDBODY (both before and after the class start time), the number was either invalid or unreachable. Then afterwards I called the number listed under the business on google, it went to voicemail. I left a message and asked for a call back, but no one called me back. The studio looks really nice from outside. I really wish I had been able to take that class. But I think the business is somewhat responsible for making sure customers can find them, and when confusion occurred, they should be responsible for closed loop communication. I ended up doing yoga with a YouTube video in my hotel room. ADDENDUM: the business reached out to me via email and offered a refund. I guess they now just need to contact google maps to update their location.

But what about the rest of the class culminating up to savaasana?), or would treat someone that passed gas during downward dog as some kind of rude anathema, just unprofessional overall. It's no wonder I hesitated a bit before finding another yoga studio in NEPA. I would resort to doing yoga at home. By the way, Tara Stiles is fabulous! I started working in Danville not too long after the infancy of this equally fabulous and beautiful yoga studio. Hardwood floors, nice clean and fun vibe, Lululemon yoga mats (Oh, I just get tickled with delight over Lulu!), and knowledgeable, seemingly grounded yoga instructors make this studio a breath of fresh air. There's a variety of classes for your needs...would love to drop in to a rooftop class when it's warmer out. There's a gift shop in the reception area that sells beautiful jewelry made by women in developing countries to clothing and candles. Now if only my budget allowed, I would happily be here more. Until then, Tara Stiles shall do but hey - at least I have been keeping up my weekly practice.

There are several classes a day ranging from beginner to advanced. If you don't have a mat they have several to choose from. Also I feel the need to mention how comfortable I was in the studio. I'm not a go to the gym and work out type of person. I rather go to a secluded park or use my rower at home but I honestly can't wait to come back and take another class.

I'm still very much in recovery, but my old yearning for the practice began to itch at me again when I began to undergo a very difficult time in my life. I had mentioned this to a friend and she strongly encouraged me to start doing yoga again because it gets energy moving in your body, and is cleansing for the spirit. I mainly wanted to do it for the physical benefits, so I decided to come in today to West End Yoga because it's the closest studio to me. Needless to say, the entire experience was incredibly relieving and cathartic. Feeling my body--which I've abused so many times before with rigorous diets and painful practices of self-harm--move through the motions and transgress from one pose to another rather awkwardly but altogether gracefully was such a poignant and important progress for me. The basics of breathing and moving are surprisingly visceral and liberating. I was stunned when, at the end of the session, tears randomly began to spill from my eyes. The entire experience definitely moved everything in me and brought stuff to the surface, and I believe that is the power of quieting the mind. The instructor was very gentle and supportive. I got major chills when we closed with the "ohm". This is my go-to spot now, and it helps that it's literally 5 minutes from my home. I even left my yoga mat there for future visits. I'm sold.
