Working in the deadline-driven, stressful environment of magazine editing, I knew I had to learn how to relax and connect my physical being with my emotional being. So it was suggested to me that I take a Yoga class. I'll admit, my idea of exercise had generally focused on running, weightlifting, and all of the things many men associate with physical activity. So the idea of yoga was something new to me and I wasn't sure about taking a Yoga class when I first went to Sphericality. Wow, has my mind changed since I began going weekly. I've never had such a relaxed, clear mind, and I feel physically more fit than I have in quite some time. The instructors are very inviting and, although I had no idea what I was doing in the beginning, there was no pressure to be keep up with the veterans in the classes. Even a few months in, I find the atmosphere of the classes to be easy going, friendly and casual, with just the right combination of easier and harder poses to help me accomplish the goals I had set when I started Yoga but without adding unnecessary strain. They've helped me through a steady progression. My experience at sphericality has been tremendous and I'll continue to go weekly without a doubt. If you're going to take a yoga class, I can't think of any better place to start. read more

I have been frequenting this exercise studio since it first opened in September 2009 and I can honestly contend that the experience has changed my life. Initially it was a way for me to re-focus my energy after quitting smoking, but in the process I've restored my confidence and met some amazing and like-minded people. I've tried nearly every class that has been offered, but have Boot(y) Camp, Zumba, and Chrysalis Pole Fusion in my weekly repertoire. I'm excited that Barre Amped will also be available and from the early training classes, I think it will be something that I'll enjoy. There is really something for everyone and I find myself looking forward to each experience as it not only makes me feel stronger physically, but mentally as well. When I travel for business, I cannot wait to return to the studio and reconnect, which is a testament to the quality of services that are provided and the feeling that extends well beyond the physical space itself. This is surely a gem on Main Street that is very community focused and contributes so much to our town. read more

Sphericality is a great alternative to your typical gym. The classes that I have taken here have allowed me to broaden my workout regimen in a fun, friendly environment. I began my tenure at Sphericality because of their superb Zumba classes, which I attend weekly. I took my first Yoga class here. As a rookie I was a bit nervous about trying it, but the Yoga classes offered here all excellent. The instructors/classes offer a great workout for all levels. Recently, I had the opportunity to take a BarreAmped Master class here. After getting a taste of what this great new program is all about, I am very excited to add Barre to my schedule this month! All of the instructors at Sphericality are knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. It is the evolution of the classes, the professionalism of the instructors, and the way I feel when I come and go from Spher. that keep me coming back week after week. read more

Sphericality is an awesome studio and part of the community. I love the intimate and friendly atmosphere. I was even able to participate in a Yogathon to give back and help make our hospital HMC the best. They offer the latest in exercise fitness. From gyrotonics to pole fitness to the latest barre method and of course traditional exercise classes, yoga, and Zumba. I love the structure of paying for classes you take vs a monthly membership. Everyone can find something that lets them reach their personal goals. I need my weekly pole fitness class to challenge myself, have fun, and for the connection to the girls who have become my friends. Sphericality is a place with peaceful energy, not frenetic energy like a lot of gyms. The decor is inviting, and the instructors are friendly and accepting. I first came to Sphericality to try the Pole Dancing classes. The Pole classes have women from all ages, all shapes and sizes, and all abilities. Danielle is an amazing dancer and an excellent instructor and has shown us how much sheer strength is needed for this type of dance. There is no pressure to act like strippers - the dancing can be sexy, but no more than any other type of dancing. Dorian, the owner, is always bringing in new types of exercise classes, like Barre classes, to keep exercising new and fresh. Being at Sphericality makes you feel like you're tucked away in a swanky fitness studio in New York City, in the best possible way! The entire place is clean and bright and there are actually two studios, one on the first floor and one on the second. There is a great variety of classes offered, and there is something different every day. The teachers are friendly and talented at what they do, and offer individualized attention. Being a member of Sphericality is also a great social experience! I've met so many people of all ages and have watched people's bodies change right before my eyes. Great Zumba offered here. I've been going for almost 3 years using their 10-pack purchase plan. I have not taken many other classes there so I can't comment on them. The instructors are energetic, engaging and thoughtful. They make classes fun like I'm not exercising. I've lost a lot of weight! I felt welcomed right away by the owners, Zumba instructors and the other students. On-line registration is very easy. Facility is beautiful. The pictures on Yelp are in need of updating, The studios are just as beautiful, but look a little different. They keep their website photos updated. read more

I was not fit, I was not an exerciser... That was until I found Sphericality 2 years ago!! The environment created in this studio is one-of-a-kind, non-judgemental and fun. have never been able to stick to a fitness routine before I found Sphericality and now find that if I need to miss a class my whole week is "off". I have been taking classes at the studio since last November. They have such a great mix of options: yoga, toning, gyrotonics, zumba, etc. I love the atmosphere, always physically challenging, but always mentally and emotionally supportive! I have been going to Sphericality since October of 2009 and have never felt better! I started out doing Zumba and added on Boot Camp, Yoga and Toning. The atmosphere is fun and supportive. Sphericality is a fantastic fitness studio. It has such a calming and relaxing atmosphere, which is a nice change from the traditional gym. I have enjoyed the Gyrotonic, Zumba and Yoga classes there.
