I am an experienced Yogi and was desperate for a new home when I moved to Raleigh. I spent a whole month doing trials at various locations in order to find my perfect fit. I tried Yoga Soullective for a month because they offered $35 for one month of unlimited classes so I figured it was a score. I was BLOWN away and I felt at home instantly. After my month was up, I got so sad and bought a monthly subscription. My routine is to attend the 6am-7am classes Monday - Thursday which usually has about 5-15 people depending on the day and instructor. I used to do the meditation classes right after (7:15 - 7:45) but I stopped because I started getting way too relaxed and would end up falling asleep. I suggest doing the evening meditation session to prime you for a good nights sleep. Nevertheless, I think that goes to show how relaxed/comfortable I feel here and how great the sessions are.
The studio is surprisingly big and I like that they offer both yoga and meditation classes. Classes are usually full on the weekends... like I mean ~ 50 people at Jolene's Saturday morning session. Jolene is one of the owners and her classes are always amazing so you'll always see her classes packed. The other owner, Katie, has one of the best 45 min meditation classes on Saturday. When I say that, I mean I was in my own little world for about 30 minutes (10 min at the end of meditation and 15 min into the next class!). It was so good I almost forgot to breathe. I like these type of meditation classes because I tend to get anxious and I have ADHD so for me to be able to be sit still, be in my own zone, and lower my heart rate is a huge win. I feel so much lighter when I leave these sessions. read more
