Yoga Bliss is where I learned yoga. I moved out of state and realized just how lucky I was to have had such amazing learning and growth experiences with the owner and all instructors. I have since moved back to Ohio but am closer to Cleveland now. Once again, none of the studios anywhere quite compare to all that YB offers. I may need to move back to the Fairlawn area just to return to my favorite studio. It looks like they've added additional services as well. I am not at all surprised. I was on a mission to try all of the yoga studios in Akron. So far, this has been my least favorite experience. Staff was not very welcoming or warm to new faces. First visit to the Restorative class with Janet! She was wonderful, super instructive with a calming energy. The inside was clean and classes were full! As someone who has done athletics for years, the restorative class consisted of 6 poses and I was able to reach a deep relaxation. I was hoping for a little more moving but i appreciated the deep stretching with guidance. Working around this area it would be convenient to revisit. I loved the inside with a little clothing boutique and super fun and yoga style decor. The Aesthetic was great and the vibes were positive! I loved the bright lighting and neon signs. The smoothie bar looked delicious, I wish it stayed open after our class let out at 12pm on Sunday. I look forward to returning to a flow class in the future and trying a smoothie too! read more

Went with my SIL for the Sunday 9:30 hot class. Traditionally I do not do hot yoga but this was by far the best one I've taken! Lisa really pushes you to challenge yourself! Definitely recommend! read more

Years ago, when I first started at Yoga Bliss, I was really happy there. In the years since, the owner had raised prices and added a lot of things to it's already expensive environment. The resident Yogis are still amazing. I believe the Teacher Training Program to be one of the best around. In writing this review, I'll simply keep to the facts. The owner is rude. I've never known her to be any different. While I had hoped that she had mellowed over the years, I was disappointed to find that she's actually worse. I've had several personal encounters with her over the years I've been a client, and she has been simply rude, grouchy, and anything but professional. Last week was it for me and about 15 other students. I can only say that her business used to be all about the yoga. Just like the clients that practice at her business, she needs to check her ego at the door and treat her clients with more respect. I really feel sad that a place I loved so much has changed in ways that don't seem to benefit the students. The are MANY other yoga studios in the area that are still all about the yoga. It time to move on to better opportunities. Yoga is a place to grow and strengthen you body, mind, and spirit. Attending yoga class is not an opportunity "to see and be seen." While every owner wants to see their studio thrive, by focusing on exclusivity and image, it takes the focus on yoga out of the picture. read more

The class I took yesterday was very good. The teacher had a very nice way to guide the class and make you get very deep in the practice. What I really got disappointed is in ten lady at the entrance. She seemed to be bored or mad. I had a bad experience and left me thinking if I really would tolerate that attitude. I won't go back there are many other good options. read more

It was hard for me to find a place I felt comfortable. Yoga Bliss is that place. They accommodate all levels, in a warm and friendly environment. Talented teachers and yogis come here, but I've never felt like I had to compete. Today they had an open house that was just great...I tried a harder class than normal, because it was free. Thanks to the staff for creating wonderful vibe. Shout out to Maria, Heather and Jamie for outstanding classes! They even have partner classes and things for kids. Both hot room and another room (my preference) and a wide variety of yoga levels are available. read more

The teachers are very experienced. There are plenty of yoga props for everyone. There are showers in the locker room. The juice bar is a huge plus. The teachers have a great music selection. The workshops bring famous yoga talents and fresh yoga knowledge to Ohio! The studios boutique always has cute clothes. The studio is safe for comfortably leaving your belongings in a cubby while in class. The place is clean and they provide towels. The teachers give great assists during class and have an icy hot gel on hand for sore muscles. Some teachers go the extra mile with essential oils for students or affirmation cards. There are classes that offer babysitting which is awesome for moms. It's also a great studio for beginners because they have a room dedicated to not being as hot and the classes focus on foundation postures. The teachers are welcoming and aren't pretentious. They also have yoga retreats and give back to the community! I think I might just take teacher training here! I like the diversity in the teaching styles. Some teachers seem to focus on the athletic side of yoga and some in the deep roots of Sanskrit, even explaining some of the fun traditional Hindu stories. This studio has it all! read more

I just love this studio. I live in New York but work in Akron during the week, and can tell you that I have seen my fair share of yoga studios that are snotty, "clicky", and make you feel like you shouldn't even show up unless you are highly advanced. Yoga Bliss is so far from that sort of studio. The large yoga room gives you plenty of room to move around, so you aren't practically sitting on top of other people. The teachers are wonderful, and the studio is always spotless and clean (which is big for me.) Definitely check this place out! read more

I've regularly attended classes at Yoga Bliss for well over a year. I recently moved back to the area from Denver and was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a good yoga studio. For months, I drove back and forth from Akron to Cleveland Yoga and Chagrin Yoga. Both great studios but after a two hour round trip drive, the benefits of the yoga had often been erased. When I finally accepted this realization, I did an internet search for Hot Yoga in Akron and, to my surprise, found Yoga Bliss. After a free trial class, I was hooked. I'm guessing Yoga Bliss is what Cleveland Yoga was like before you couldn't find a place to lay your mat. In fact, most of the teachers at Yoga Bliss were trained at Cleveland Yoga. On top of that, the studio is beautiful and clean, the staff couldn't be nicer, the teachers are all rock solid, the owner is one of the kindest people I've ever met, and the power vinyasa classes give me an incredible workout and leave my mind far less cluttered. The studio appears to be growing rapidly and the owner seems committed, first and foremost, to building a community of healthy, happy people. I feel lucky for having found Yoga Bliss and highly recommend it to yogis at any level. read more
