Esta was my go to vet for c sections when I raised English bulldogs. Esta was fairly down to earth…read more, but very full of herself. Last time I was there she killed by pug during a c section. She had NO oxygen machines on site. She didnt bother putting in a simple trachea tube. Nope She is only concerned about hlgetting puppies out fast. She drugs my girl , totally forget to numb the area to be cut for the csection. I had to remind her. Then my pug stops breathing i tell Esta, and she stsrts looking for the right s, tube to TRY and get in pug throat. Now keep.in mind my girl is cut open n pups are being pulled out. So because she was not paying attention. My girl died on the table , clesrly from Esta total lack of knowing what the heck she was doing. Esta was not upset at all. I was devastated. 6 pups no mom..which could have easily be fixed if she had placed a breathing tube as soon as she knocked her out..or spend a few bucks n have oxygen. I honestly believe esta was suffering from early dementia. She retired a yr later. I should have sued her.

I've taken my border collie there for a c-section 3 times and each time was amazed at the outcome. She is very fair in price and knows her business. She is a REALISTIC vet. I hope this is helpful to someone!

One of their technicians was very rude and disrespectful to and I asked to speak to the Veterinarian and Kelly came out to tell that they no longer will see my dog! I was shocked that they allow their employees to talk to customers rudely and disrespectful and the customer and their pet gets kicked... it is not right! My dog needs special care with shots monthly because his allergy to pollen is so bad and we do not have Vet's near by that handles large dogs! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT TREATING THE ANIMALS, IT IS JUST A MONEY THING!!

If for vaccinations then for vaccination, if for small animal surgery-neuter for small animal. But when I went today and explained that I made the appointment for vaccinations and small animal (for neuter) I got a little frustrated when the manager said that it was only for vaccines and that I had to reschedule another appointment 3 weeks to a month from now. The appointment even said "Provider: We have you all scheduled. Thank you. Drop off is between 8:00 and 8:30 am. Please do not withhold food or water from your pet PRIOR TO SURGERY." I went to drop off my pet and that's when everything started. If the vet os the one who schedule surgeries, why is there an option for you to make an appointment for surgery? It makes it confusing and frustrating to have to wait that long for another appointment. Funny thing is that the "MANAGER KELLY" didn't work with the client and just was very rude overall with a frustrated client that, to her understanding, was already scheduled for surgery. I gave two stars because the rest of the staff, vets included, has been very helpful and good. But the manager that's in charge of appointments and everything else was not!! She didn't even try to understand why I was frustrated, treated me like I was a irrational and crazy because of something like this. Update: Keeps getting better. Send me a letter that completely missed the mark (one side of the story was heard-if the letter was really sent by the owner [manager takes care of that also]). 1. Was not impartial-""complete" review by our staff" (a. about the manager that makes their payroll.), 2. Comments were made that do not reflect what happened or what I feel about the situation, and 3. Very unprofessional. It looks like a copy/paste or a generic type letter with, maybe, a sentence or two added by who knows. Also, one thing that I didn't include was how racist the manager of this clinic was. I didn't included that in the original review because I don't want to play the race card but the letter was inappropriate. Specially when you make a decision based on one side of the story (probably influenced by her position)

It was a very upsetting time for us just like it would be for any pet owner having to put their loved one down. We hiked two miles back to the car with him squinting and his eye watering. No, I did not have to carry him and he eagerly scampered along the trail despite the eyeball issue. Whew! Thank goodness we had cell service at the car and lucked out finding the Northwood Vet Service. I called them at 11:40am on a Saturday and the friendly receptionist encouraged us to come in at noon and provided directions (and note, they closed at noon so they were being especially nice). The clinic was clean and staff were all equally friendly in person. Dr. Emily promptly saw us and was able to tell Leo had a bit of a scratch on his eye. She flushed it out and gave us an antibiotic ointment and we were good to go! The prices were quite reasonable as well: Office visit ($25), eye flush/stain ($10) and the ointment ($12.50). It was so appreciated how they didn't hesitate to stay late to accommodate us and how they were friendly and efficient upon our arrival. Leo's eye looks 100 times better today. All in all, a great experience!
