Took the children as they like the conveyor belt. The food did not taste great and when we was asking questions about the hot food, it was like we was an inconvenience. My friend encountered a rude member of staff when she picked up her too good to go bag last Sunday and so I think there is a real issue with management there and customer service. Its nice looking out into Bluewater and watching people go passed but there are a few restaurants like that and so I would go elsewhere next time. I like good, friendly, professional service and unfortunately you do not get that at this restaurant! Oh and if you thought the portions were small before, they have got even smaller. read more

This was my first visit to a Yo! Sushi. I was impressed. Now, I'm not one to eat fish, ever, so I was slightly apprehensive about eating there. That though, goes to prove that you should never judge a conveyor-belt driven food bar by its fishiness. I found plenty of stuff to eat, and particular favourites were the vegetable dumplings and the chicken noodles with a spicy, fruity sauce. Another boon is the unlimited (you pay for one glass) water, both still and sparkling, available on tap in front of you so that you can refill on demand. There are of course other drinks available but the water actually complements the food well I think. Not only that, it is a good light meal to have mid-shop. The staff were attentive although some seemed to have slight amnesia and forgot our dish requests (some choices have to be ordered separately rather than hoiking them off of the conveyor belt). It is always really busy there, but as slowdog said, if you choose to sit at the bar you will get seated fairly quickly. Also, despite it being in the middle of a shopping centre you do not feel on show or anything like that. I soon forgot the location and just concentrated on the experience. It may mean I have the maturity of a 6 year old too but I actually found it all a bit fun! Looking out for the dishes (colour coded) as they came round on the conveyor belt and lifting them off was cool. Sorry, but it was! The usual fare you'd expect from Yo! Sushi - conveyor belt sushi, with some optional made-to-order dishes, so I won't bother describing that too much. Service here is actually really good, compared to other Yo! Sushis I've been to. The waiting staff are polite, attentive and efficient (I don't think I've ever gone thirsty waiting for a green tea top up) and if you order a special dish, it comes very quickly. The layout's a little more group and family-friendly compared to other Yo! Sushis in that there are several tables positioned perpendicular to the converyor belt so that you can sit yourselves more sociably than in the normal sushi bar style. This is a particular boon to those with young children, and baby seats are available for those with particularly young children. You can still sit at the belt, though, and you will probably get a seat quicker if you go for this approach. The queues to get seated here are testament to the tastes of the more sophisticated Bluewater shoppers, not willing to subject their stomachs to the 'food court' offerings. The looks from the junk foodies as they walk past are testament to the fact that, despite Bluewater's proximity to London, there are some people for whom sushi remains 'weird'. If you eat here, be prepared to be overlooked by slack-jawed provincials getting their mobile phones out so that they can send photos of the set-up, as if it were something from outer space. read more

I love Yo Shush! I popped my Sushi eating cherry here (I imagine this is a thing) and have come to love the casual and easy approach that you get here. It may not be the best sushi on the market, and it's true that they're a little hit and miss, but for me. They are the best. I love everything from the carousels to the ridiculous almost-believable Japanese 'Its-a table number nine' that come blurting out of the speakers when you press the help button. There's something about the absurdity of the whole thing that I just love. I would arguably say that this Yo-Sushi is the best place to eat in bluewater if you're after the non-pretentious dining experience and don't quite want a McDonalds. read more

Having been to one good (Leicester) and one awful (Cambridge) branch of this sushi chain I decided to try another. There was nothing bad about this brance, other than the location. You feel like everyone (other shoppers) is looking at you. At least we now know that the quality definitely varies from store to store. My kids love it here. Its not what I would call real sushi but its a fun place to eat and its always busy. I like eating here and do so at least once a month. Its not cheap and often you can get carried away and end up spending quite a lot. My little boy loves the chicken dumplings and I love the katsu curry. yumm - hungry now!! read more

Love a bit of Yo Sushi! The food is good and freshly prepared in front of you. It all gets placed on coloured plates onto the little conveyor belt that goes around and you just pick up what you fancy and just pay per how many different coloured plates you have at the end. If you want something hot, or something from the menu that you haven't spotted on the belt then just pop the light on that's on your table and your waiter/waitress will order it for you. The only thing that bothers me about Yo! Sushi is how expensive it is, plus you have to pay for a tap water here which is a bit annoying. I will say that their Sunday morning sushi making class is good fun though. All in all, Yo Sushi isn't somewhere you could afford to eat too frequently, but its fun and has a great novelty factor. read more

The conveyor belt idea is excellent, the food is obviously because of this brought to u fast but over all i was disappointed with this as somewhere to eat .I am a big sushi fan and its not the quality i expected.I think the concept is fun and reasonably priced but the food could be of a higher standard.The tables and seats are always clean even though the food can be a bit messy when being eaten. read more

It makes a refreshing change to have something other than, burgers, chips or other fast food to choose from. The food was fresh and the waitress helpful when called upon. The set up is easy enough to get along with and it's good to see the food going past. However, you do tend to find yourself taking that one more dish than necessary, racking up the bill along the way. Nice, friendly and informal way to enjoy so fast food. read more
