So having been THAT person who refused to eat raw salmon amongst other foods I have always vetoed YoSushi when choosing a place to eat, but today I took the plunge and I'm glad I did! The carousal style service for picking your food is much more entertaining and fun than I was expecting, only niggle is not knowing in quick enough time what was what, luckily the friendly staff are on hand to assist. The portion sizes are great. I'd imagine the average person would need at least 3 dishes which are reasonably priced, however if you were very hungry you could rack up quite a bill. Food was tasty, service was quick, staff were helpful and the experience as a whole was great. Would definitely go again!

Monday is blue plate day. Which is £2.50 per blue plate.

I haven't been to a Yo! Sushi in over 6 years after a bad experience at the Leicester branch. Now how much you pay is based on what you eat and how much you eat. There are 6 different colour of plate or bowl ranging from £1.90 per bowl for green all the way up to £5.00 for grey bowl. It depends on what you want to eat, a grey bowl can get you soft shell crab tempura and the green bowl is usually edamame (soy beans). If you don't watch it you can end up spending £20 and having roughly 3 plates of food, the plates are also more like side plate size but the point is to try lots of different things not order one huge plate, it makes an introduction into Japanese cuisine much more gentle. Now I went on a Monday, I don't know how long the blue Monday offer had been running but it's pretty good value. Basically there are 50 dishes for you to choose from, you see them float past you on a conveyor belt. You like it? Pick it up. Don't put your dirty bowl back on the conveyor, leave a neat little stack so they can tot up your bill when your done. I got prawn katsu for £2.50, I think it's normally £3.50 (not sure) so I saved a pound! But the edamame floating around too are also £2.50 so they up the price there. But mostly your getting a better deal. I wouldn't recommend this for large groups as you sit side by side on a bar, and if it's really busy somebody might keep picking the really good dishes before they even get to you.

Nice place to eat with friends. Average service. Good food. It's a convenient place to visit especially being located at New Street.

The house special dragon roll was my favorite, prawn tempura wrapped with eel and tobiko in a nice bbq mayo sauce. The Ten Ichi ramen is the way to go to have it all. Prawn tempura, tasty fried chicken, mushrooms, wakame, naruto and tofu. Only thing missing was the half egg. Noodles were too soft soaking up the tonkatsu broth. The pork katsu ramen was average, egg breaded pork was not as crispy as the fried chicken. Side of vegetable tempura was a nice assortment of delicious veggies. Overall it was a pleasant experience in a comfortable setting. Great date spot with something for everyone.

My partner and I love veggie sushi and I think Wasabi do probably the best one (around here, at least) for vegetarians. With the platter you get some edamame, a seaweed salad and good selection of maki, inari,... This time I also bought some mochi whic was very tasty. I did very much enjoy the red bean paste filling (it is a different flavour, so may not be for everyone, but do give it a try ). I also purchased some vegetable noodles to heat up at home. Tip: if you are buying sushi for two (and do t mind eating leftovers) get a sushi platter! Is much more economical and you can get at least 2 main meals for two or 4 meals for two if you have other nibbles. I will definitely keep buying from wasabi, especially when I get to travel to the office since is on my way back home. See you around!
