Not only do they not enforce the rules or even pay any attention, they have been rude to me multiple times, especially Darlene and Joe, and I have gotten hurt because they let all kinds of stuff just float around or let people get in without any warning. They allow people to not share lanes (against the rules). If some members have the privilege of treating the place as their private pool, then why should I pay the same price since I am treated like a second class citizen? The rest of the place is nice and friendly, but if you are a SWIMMER, STAY AWAY! Also, I have not been able to figure out how to reach out to their board, which is fishy. I have reached the point of just quitting the most expensive gym in town where the lifeguards have created such a hostile environment that just thinking about going there gives me anxiety.

As a female, I'm always a little hesitant entering a place that has no staff at certain hours, but I've never had a problem. All of the patrons here are polite, and I feel fairly comfortable going in at anytime. Clean towels, fairly good magazines, and spotless floors and equipment. Some people gawk at the price ($45 a month for 1 year contract) but I think it's perfect. You truly get your $$$ worth. I like supporting a local business, and If I have an issue, I can actually talk to someone instead of being given the run around, like with chain gyms.

Playground review:…read more Visited on a Friday morning around 9:45 a.m. with my 4-, 3-, and 20-month-old. There was plenty of parking, and I was happy to see a nice outdoor bathroom nearby. When we arrived, it wasn't too crowded, probably around 4-6 kids already there. The playground was great for my older kids, though there were a few areas where my youngest could have fallen out easily. The entire playground has turf surfacing and includes several handicap-accessible play options. I also appreciated the shaded areas with umbrellas, especially later in the morning. By around 10:45, it became much hotter and significantly more crowded, probably closer to 25 kids, though there was still enough room for everyone to play comfortably. One of my favorite features was that the entire playground is fully fenced in, with a latch high enough that young children can't easily let themselves out. Overall, this was a great option for families with multiple young kids because of the secure fencing, accessibility, and easy parking.

She's been raving about this place since she started working out here so I decided to join her for a Saturday morning workout. On our way there, I was a bit anxious because I can't do CrossFit due to injuries. Previous gyms I have been to had always been pretty judgmental - "why would you come to a CrossFit gym if you don't do CrossFit?" "Oh.. so do you even workout?" - but this place is different. From the second I walked in, I knew I was going to like it. All of the coaches I met (Katie, Ryan, Bill, and Michael) were super friendly and greeted me right away. I told them I wasn't going to do the scheduled workout and they walked me around and showed me the equipment and which area was best to do my own thing. They had all of the equipment I needed (bikes, ergs/rowers, free weights, barbells, bands, etc.) and I had an awesome workout! If you're looking for treadmills and ellipticals, this isn't the place for you. But, if you want an awesome community and a fun place to workout, definitely check them out!

Flex Appeal uses the MindBody app to book classes at their gym. They offer Yoga, TRX, Spinning, Boot Camp, Killer Abs & Pound. I attend all my classes at the Germantown studio because it is so close to my house. I really enjoy the beginner yoga class Monday nights with Erin. Erin makes class easy with step by step instructions... put your foot & hand here. I personally love when I come & she has decided to do fascia work. I also attend the beginner boot camp classes on Tuesday & Thursday evenings. The beginner boot camp classes are typically small & I still leave in a sweat. If I'm free I like to kick start my Saturday mornings with the Killer Abs class. The Killer Abs class definitely hurts so good... I always question why I got out of bed to go but leave feeling accomplished. I have been working with Ken in personal training sessions. Ken is always changing up what we do weekly.
