I was previously going to the other location of YogaSix in Louisville. Unfortunately they closed. The only remaining option. Was YogaSix Norton comments no I previously did not go to this location because I was worried about traffic. It is pretty chaotic trying to get past the Paddocks shops and Costco to get to a yoga studio and I was worried that it would mess with my Zen. And I had to a lot for this. You have to be mindful with the traffic in order to be there in time which I've been able to make happen. The studio feels smaller than the previous location, but the community is still present. I really appreciated being able to connect with people that I knew from the other studio and meet new individuals as well. These space always has something going on in terms of little markets and opportunities to connect with the community. And of course, the yoga is excellent. My favorite class is the signature hot and the poses have been really good and have helped me improve my flexibility. And all the instructors teach slightly differently so I've learned new things every single time. I'm so appreciative for this community and for the studio. read more

YogaSix has such welcoming staff and made me feel so comfortable for my first visit. I stopped by to look at the schedule the night before and Kim talked to me about the classes and memberships and got me signed up for a class the next day. I took the Restore class with Rhonda and it was easy to adapt moves as needed. Carrie walked me through how to check in, get equipment, and get set up for the class. Carrie and Rhonda helped me figure out which yoga mat was right for me for the next classes. Really excited to try more classes! read more

I have been loving classes at YogaSix! The studio is always extremely clean and everyone is very friendly and helpful. From the variety of classes I have really enjoyed Restore. Whitney T is a great instructor and extremely knowledgeable. The studio is in a great location next to a coffee shop and Atrium Brewing so there is always something fun to do after class. read more

I had inquired about this location when I went to the Norton Commons Fall Festival. At that time they offered one free class during that month. I let the time pass and missed that opportunity but they have a special now that you can try the class as a new member for $10. I signed up for the Yoga Restore class as I do cardio and weight lifting throughout the week and wanted to try something different for a workout. When I walked in I was greeted right away. I completed additional paperwork and I was given a quick tour of the yoga studio before class stared. They have a retail section to purchase items as well. The studio isn't huge but a nice size. There is one room where all the classes take place the equipment section is in the back of the class with a variety of equipment for to choose from depending on the class. The class lasted roughly 60 minutes and it was a very instructive. The instructor gave options to modify and walked around to offer additional instruction. I enjoyed the class and if I have additional time throughout the year, i would love to try another class. If you are in the area, definitely check it out! read more

This new yoga studio at the edge of Norton Commons has lots of great classes! I tried it out through Classpass, and they also offer a $10 trial class. Note you need to bring your own yoga mat (or I think you can rent one from them), but it isn't provided for free like the weights and block. My first class was a "sculpt and flow" class - about 20 minutes of traditional yoga and 40 minutes of a combination of body weight exercises and hand weight exercises. It was a really tough workout, but Whitney did a great job of giving modifications and creating a supportive environment. My second was a "restore" class, which is more like the traditional yoga I've done - a flow of poses using blocks and other props. It had lots of really good stretches and Whitney did a nice job of explaining where you should feel the stretch and what to change if you didn't feel it there. Overall, a nice addition to the neighborhood! read more

Was resistant to go to here because the location is far from where I live and the area I typically spend time, but the drive there is worth it every time! The lighting and music really get you in the right headspace. The instructors are wonderful and the classes are challenging, but not intimidating, Lately my favorite class has been the restore class, which we gets some deep stretches and a very calming routine. The front desk staff are also the nicest, sweetest people! I also the essential oils they wave above us at the end of the class and the moist washcloth after, it makes the whole experience feel really luxorious. read more

I have been to other local yoga studios and this one is my favorite! There are so many positive things to share about this studio! The studio's staff is so nice and can guide you through choosing a class that best suits your needs. The instructions are the absolute best too! The studio is always very clean and stocked with great items for some shopping before/after class. They have all the great accessories for class too! So get ready to move & sweat! The receptionist at this establishment was very rude when I walked in asking about booking a class. She offered me hardly any help and was very cold during the interaction. This made me very uncomfortable and I left immediately without booking. Because of her, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Very disappointing behavior!!!!!!! read more

I've been practicing with Y6 NC since they've opened. The staff and instructors are warm, professional and very welcoming. My health has dramatically improved over the last year and Y6 has been a significant tool in my health journey. I was a little worried at first as an older male that lacks flexibility. While I love working out, I had never done a hot yoga class until I took the PowerYoga class here and I loved it! The instructor gave hands on instruction to help improve positions and encouraged you to challenge up when it was appropriate. I have been coming to YogaSix since they opened in March 2022. It is a warm and friendly place and I am greeted by name when I walk in the door. They have a variety of classes to chose from and a variety of ages/skill levels take their classes. I personally love their Hot, Sculpt and Flow, Slow Flow and Restore classes. The instructors are well trained and extremely accommodating to all types of levels. The studio is also very clean! I love this place and highly recommend YogaSix. read more

I had been practicing different forms of yoga for over 12 years before having a serious accident with 2 subsequent surgeries. My instructor was my best friend, and once I was skilled enough she took me to two 3-day Yoga Workshops for instructors. She moved to FL before I had fully recovered, so I went about 7 years without practicing. I still remembered almost everything I learned, but decided to sign up for a class at YogaSix called Y6 101, which they advertise as "the perfect yoga class if you're brand new to or looking to ease back into your yoga practice." So, I signed up during a special they were running, which required a 2 month membership. I chose this class because the advertisement also showed a picture of an instructor helping a student one-on-one, which is necessary for beginners. I wanted to make sure that my poses were accurate and that my alignment was straight. However, this class was NOTHING like what was advertised! I couldn't believe it! Had I been "brand new to yoga" I would've been totally lost! I was in the front row and could see some of the people behind me really struggling. Some were so confused that before they could get into one pose, the next one was called out! It took much restraint to keep from yelling "STOP!" What also shocked me was that the poses we were doing were not suitable for people who had never done yoga! After class, a lady came up to me and said that if I hadn't been in front of her, she would've been totally lost. It was her very first time there. YogaSix does not offer classes that are for beginners. They also do not teach traditional yoga, nor do they take the time to explain the small, but very essential things that if skipped will prevent students from ever experiencing some of the most wonderful and important things yoga has to offer. These things are what forms a solid foundation for all future practices. Traditional yoga is done in a quiet, peaceful environment where you can concentrate on your poses, your breathing and really get in tune with your body. However, at YogaSix all of the classes are done to upbeat music and it is basically yoga meets aerobics. Yoga poses are meant to be done slowly and precisely. These poses are not suitable, nor meant for aerobics. If done incorrectly, students could very easily hurt themselves! It was very stressful for me watching all of this take place, and I was also angry because the students there were being cheated out of learning what yoga is all about. I sent an email to Yogasix expressing my feelings and told them that I would never be back and wanted my membership canceled. I also told them that due to the false advertising, I expected to be released from the 2 month commitment. However, when the second month came, they charged my credit card for the full membership price! I have sent multiple emails, called, left voicemails, but they will not respond!! read more
