I recently visited Yippee Feet, and while the massage itself was great, the entire experience was ruined by the owner's appalling behavior regarding tips. I had actually heard before that this particular owner often pressures clients for larger tips, but I somehow thought I would be immune to it. After the service, I left a 15% tip, which is standard, but the masseuse and the owner confronted me, saying, "That's not how tipping works," and pushed me to leave a 30% tip. It's absolutely inappropriate for a business owner to pressure a customer into leaving a larger tip. Worse, this wasn't just a suggestion--it felt like a guilt trip, disguised behind a fake smile and under the pretext of questioning whether I liked the service. Yes, I enjoyed the massage immensely, but that does not justify being lectured about how much I should tip. I left a reasonable amount given the $70 price of the massage ($73 charge on a card). Tipping should reflect personal discretion, not a forced obligation. The entire experience of getting a massage should be stress-free, but instead, I left feeling more frustrated. What was supposed to be a relaxing session ended up being very uncomfortable. read more

I have had five massages so far at the newly opened Yippee Feet. My experience has been uniformly terrific. The setting is pretty, with good lighting, temperature and music. Lucy is a expert masseuse, strong and caring. Massages are a full hour. The place is run by the lovely Coco, who answers the phone, is always in a good mood, and makes sure you are well cared for. read more
