I have 3 house dogs and all my girls love to go to the groomers. Yip Yap Pet Salon does a great job! They are very friendly and I feel good about leaving my babies there. You drop them off in the morning for grooming and pick them up in afternoon. They run great specials for doggie facial & teeth cleaning that my dogs enjoy. Once you bring your pet in for the first time they will even send you a customer card for a discount for your next visit. If your looking for a groomers I would try Yip Yap Pet Salon out. read more

We weren't impressed. Staff was very inconsistent - okay at times, and pretty rude at other times. Upon dropoff for boarding, they asked whether we wanted only emergency care for our dog, or "whatever we think is necessary" care. We told them emergency care only, but that didn't stop the add on services and extra charges from piling up for things that were very non-emergency. Then when we asked about the discrepancies, they totally refused to take responsibility for not doing what they said they would do. If this place stands out, it's only because they don't have any competition. It's a local place and it shows. Obvious lack of management experience and people skills. read more

I took my dog into Yip Yap hoping to establish a great reliable groomer. The groom only took 2 hours. The dog looked out of sorts...later that day I found 3 cuts, the groomer did not offer that information. I do understand accidents can happen but not telling me and finding the cuts on my own is unacceptable. They were eager for me to schedule his next appointment with them. I'm glad I didn't. Would not recommend.my dog was not groomed the way I asked and the cut was uneven.will never put my dog through that again.

I took my little dog there for grooming last month....NEVER AGAIN!!!!! The first thing I noticed was razor burn on her chest. One of her nipples was nicked. The top of her head was cut. Her nails were originally needing to be cut, and they cut all of them down to little nubs. I KNOW that they cut into the vein on each of them. That had to be terribly painful, and had to have bled a lot. I don't know what kind of shampoo or other products they used on her, but she has been itching ever since, and has had welts on her breasts. If they care about the dogs they need to get someone that knows what she's doing, instead of the butcher they have now. read more

We have used Yip yap for doggie day services for a year. At times we were concerned due to condition of our dog when we picked him up, but nothing ever serious. But it did cause us to be more communicative with the staff and to ask more questions, after all, we were entrusting our beloved pet into their hands. We began using Yip Yap for boarding as well due to the friends he had made there. The other reason was that they advertised to us that we could pick up our pet on a Sunday, which was an important issue for us. the first time we were given a wrong phone number and was not able to retrieve our pet until the following Monday, we thought, Okay, people make mistakes, but this time when it happened, it clearly was not a mistake. The lady wrote down her phone number incorrectly after complaining that it was a Holiday weekend, but she guessed she would have to alter her plans and meet us on Sunday. Never did she indicate that she didn't have to, nor that it was not company policy as we were led to believe all along. We never knew it was at the discretion of the employee to come in on Sunday to meet for pick ups, as long as we brought an extra $20.00 to tip the employee with for coming in. When we arrived back in town on Sunday, the phone number was incorrect, we went down to the shop hoping to catch someone there feeding the animals, but we did not. We waited at the shop until after 5:00 p.m. hoping to catch someone. I contacted the owner via messenger through her Facebook page. She responded quickly (even though she was out of town) and said that she would get in touch with the manager and have her call me. Which she did. The manager was quite rude about the entire incident, and said that she waited on us to call for over 45 minutes. She said she was at the shop until after 5:00 as well. Well, we know that is not true, because we were at the shop hoping to catch someone there. The manager lied about being there, the manager lied about her phone number and the manager was quite rude to us over the phone because we had contacted the owner. Of course, we felt we had no other choice, since we did not have her number. Then the manager said that "to be nice, she will meet us on Monday morning at 8:00 for us to pick up our dog." To be nice?!!!! Really? After the frustration, the lies, her yelling at us over the phone and then for her to tell us, she is going to be "nice" and let us have our dog 15 hours after we are supposed to have our dog. While all this is going on, we get another message from the owner, wanting to make sure we know that we have to have $20.00 cash to pick up the dog to tip the person with. She wanted to make sure that we were aware of this. I responded to her, that our dog had stayed many times at Yip Yap and we always picked up on Sunday and we always had our tip of $20.00 extra for the person coming in on Sunday to meet us. This from the owner meant she obviously has no clue of what goes on at the shop or who we were. Our dog has been going to day care twice a week for over a year and he has been boarded there at least six times in the past year. Unfortunately, we feel that it is time for us to leave Yip Yap for more favorable conditions elsewhere. Our pets will no longer be staying at Yip Yap after this treatment. It happened once before, but we wrote it off as our miscommunication. But not this time. I will be letting all of my other pet owner friends who take the pets to Yip Yap know about this incident as well. read more

I took my dog there for boarding. This place is a rip-off. No one bothers to explain anything. I made a reservation for one night, and was charged for two nights because I came to pick up my dog after 12:00pm the next day. No one told me anything about this "double charge" policy. In addition, a $5 charge for a completely unnecessary Capstar treatment was tacked on. My dog is on regular flea treatment. Also, at the time I made the reservation, I was told to fax my dog's shot records. I did so as soon as I got off the phone. When I arrived to drop my dog off, they told me that they had not received the records because their fax machine wasn't working. Huh? Why was I told to fax the records then? Initially, the staff person at the counter asked me to call my vet for the records myself, but I insisted that she do it because it was not my fault they did not have them. She did comply with that request, so that's why this business is not getting just one star. The worst thing about Yip Yap is the overall unfriendly attitude of the staff. None of the people I dealt with act as if they even like dogs. I might as well have been checking in a piece of luggage or an overcoat. read more
