Huge shoutout to Lawrence, our waiter, and Eryn, our server -- both were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Eryn never stopped checking on us, kept our waters filled, and had the best smile. Lawrence even made us a hot chocolate with whipped cream, which was hands down the best hot chocolate in town. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and this is one of the best places to stop in while visiting Nelson. Once inside we were warmly greeted by the two young ladies working. We were seated quickly offered water and a beverage of our choice as soon as we sat. Menus were dropped along with the waiters. A taster of the wine was requested and happily supplied. The inside is clean, and although spartanly appointed, it's bright and airy and a good size for a smaller town. We ordered lemon chicken, beef with mixed vegetables and chicken chow mein. Far too much food for the two of us, but you have to have some variety don't you. The food came out quickly, piping hot and very generous in the portion side. Having worked in a Chinese place for a couple of years as a teenager I've eaten my fair share of the cuisine and this food was pretty darn good, and very good for a small town, which may have been mentioned in an earlier review. Don't listen to the one star, give it a go, you'll be glad you did. With so few choices in Grand Forks , the good places need to be supported, the restaurant biz is pretty tough these days.
