This is a quality restaurant that puts together some awesome food and does the details right. They serve the coffee cup on a dish which kept the table circle free. This was a nice old school touch. Fresh cream was brought with the coffee and was kept full throughout my time there by a very nice server. The chorizo burrito was the best one I've ever had. It was completely stuffed with the goods too. Although I was here for breakfast, they had some awesome looking pies. Since I'm a ways away from coming back (and can't keep it cool on the motorcycle) I decided to have breakfast dessert. Glad I did as it was amazing. I appreciate a good meal on the road and this certainly checked that box.

I have been to Marzano several times in the past and had excellent experiences this time it was…read moreokay. The crust on the prosciutto pizza was soft like a pillow and the tomato sauce was fresh and full of flavour. However, the pizza arrived cold at the table. Cavatelli Frutti di Mare had a rich flavour where you could taste the lobster oil that was used in a way that did not make the dish too fishy. One downside the pasta was undercooked. The cracklin chicken was the dish of envy tonight. The chicken was moist and flavourful with the skin having a snappy crust to it. Served with risotto. Marzano usually has excellent service, but this go round it was lack lustre. The restaurant was not super busy and plenty of staff were on but not very attentive. We waited over 15 minutes after we were seated before someone came to the table to greet us. Nonetheless the restaurant offers a great atmosphere that is cozy, clean and clearly well thought out in aesthetic design.

Marzano clearly puts intention behind what they do, drawing inspiration from traditional Neapolitan techniques and a focus on high-quality, simple ingredients, and that care shows up on the menu. From an accessibility standpoint, this was one of the easier Italian meals I've had while eating GF. Gluten-free options were clearly labeled, including modification notes, which made ordering straightforward. Nearly all pizzas and pastas could be made gluten free, aside from specialty pastas like the gnocchi and lasagna. They also had a gluten-free focaccia available as an appetizer, which had an excellent texture. The appetizers were a standout. We shared the gnocchi and burrata and both were delicious. Pizza got great feedback from the table overall, though a couple slices were slightly undercooked in the center and flopped when picked up. I ordered the sirloin, which was okay, though not my favorite part of the meal. Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and thoughtful, offering a soup sample to our 90-year-old guest who was unsure about the daily option, and kindly helped wrangle us for a group photo during a busy dinner hour, which I really appreciated. The interior is gorgeous--modern, warm, and very well maintained. Even though Marzano opened in 2018, it feels much newer. I debated between a 4 and 5 star review due to my entrée and the pizza texture, but the intention is clearly there, and the overall experience was strong. I'd absolutely come back and would love to try more of the menu next time.
