So when…read morethis fast casual Korean fusion food restaurant opened up only 5 minutes from my new home, my boyfriend and I had to check it out. Gogibop is in a busy strip mall in Mishawaka, Indiana and is bright and shiny and new! So in addition to poke bowls, they also sell ramen, korean fried chicken, mochi ice cream, and boba tea. My bf and I just did a build our own poke bowl with chicken which was about $11 each. We both asked for all the free stuff, minus jalapeños. The server was fast, friendly, and generous, although we were expecting more chicken. The food was so good and the takeout bowls are soooooo cute! The chicken is actually really well marinated and all the produce was fresh and looked good. Some of the toppings, oddly, weren't free anymore, like the mozzarella cheese and the seaweed salad. I know most poke places charge for some additional toppings (except for AA Poke in Ft Wayne - check that place out!), but it looks like Gogibop only recently starting charging an additional $1 for mozzarella cheese and a few others. Overall, we had a yummy meal here and will definitely be back!

We ordered tonkatsu ramen which had delicious two pieces of pork, springy noodles and soup with bamboo shoots, corn, green onions, seaweed and an egg. The ramen was a large portion and very delicious without being too salty. We also ordered pork dumplings and 6 piece honey garlic chicken wings and 6 piece soy garlic with green onion chicken wings which had a bit of spice. The chicken was large and very crispy. For the service, food came out very quickly on a Friday during lunchtime, and portions were great. For all of the above plus two sodas, it was around $50.

I was the only one in our party who had not been to this place before and, in the end, the only person who wasn't crazy about the food here. As with most hibachi places, the entertainment factor was A+ and the service was good, but the food was mid. Beth, our waitress, was attentive. Our group of 9 all ordered a variety of hibachi. I chose chicken hibachi which came with miso soup, ginger salad, and grilled shrimp with a egg yolk sauce. The others in my party were obsessed with the egg yolk sauce way more than I was. There was just way too much food and honestly, it was all a bit bland. You get lots of food here, that's for sure, especially of rice. I would have liked more vegetables to diversify the meal. As for the starters, the miso was actually one of the best I have had but the ginger dressing was a weird color and the shrimp dish was not my fave. I ate the leftovers of my hibachi for lunch the next day and it heat up well but I noticed that not all the rice was cooked in the end. I ate it all anyway, of course. Apparently, this is the best hibachi place in the area so maybe I am just picky. Try it out - maybe you're fine with lots of food that isn't too flavorful that has way too much butter and oil.

Ambiance: Nothing remarkable, except for some cute sayings…read moreon the wall. It's neat and clean, but seating is very limited. I don't know if it's a legacy of Covid, or just a focus on take away & delivery. Food & Drink: Food is good and the portion is generous. Our Boba was ok. Service: It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter, so we're not expecting or getting table service. Well, there are no tables. In any case we got our orders correctly and promptly, so that's good. Value: The custom Poke starts at $11 for one scoop, and that's good price even for Michiana area. You get two scoops for $14, which elevates the size and flavor for just $3 more. The boba milk tea is standard. Rating: Good price and generous portion warrant this place a 5 star. You're not leaving hungry. Everybody is feeling the inflation, so a place offering good value should be encouraged.

They aren't cheap, but I am in my poke bowl era right now, and Hawaii Poke is the only poke bowl to-go place near my boyfriend's house. We had gotten take out from here about a year ago but I never bothered to write a review until now. Located in a very busy shopping plaza, Hawaii Poke is a happy sight among all the chain restaurants nearby. The interior is plain and basic and the counter with the ingredients is nothing fancy, but it was a popular place at 1:30pm on a Friday afternoon! So that's a good sign. So not only was I trying to be healthy, I was also trying to be cheap so I only got the one scoop build your own bowl ($11.99) and no extras. Portions are surprisingly large, as you can see in my picture, and it took me about an hour to eat when I got home. After getting unlimited toppings at AA Poke in Fort Wayne, I am always now sad to see when poke places limit the number of toppings. But anyway, let's briefly mention the quality of ingredients. The tuna I got wasnt the freshest and the carrots looked a bit brown but everything else was tasty! I also liked the sweet chili sauce I got. And I will never get a poke bowl that doesn't have edamame. Edamame is a must! This might still be a high calorie lunch(sauces and rice are not low calorie!) but I FEEL healthy and that was what was most important for my mental health today.

We started with miso soup, salad, gyoza (pork dumpling...amazing) and a summer roll (tempura shrimp, crab stick, veggies, soy paper, eel sauce...equally amazing)! We then set in with a small platter of sashimi and sushi (salmon, eel, white tuna, red snapper) and a handfull of delicious rolls, including a Lady gaga roll (white tuna mostly). We were impressed by the waitress who was working thr whole place alone and doing a great job understanding that she had 12+tables. We will most definitely be back very soon!

I love the fact that they limit the order to 3 rolls for the first order, then you can always order more if you finished your meal. It reduces waste. The rolls I ordered were mostly rice, a good amount of avocado, and very little meat. My meal ended up being $23 for a hot tea, a soup, and two rolls with very little fish. To me, it was not worth it. I'm not a big eater, I didn't want more rolls (more rice) I would have preferred higher quality rolls. Quality over quantity. But I guess when you're paying for an all-you-can-eat meal, what I got was expected. The ambiance was chill, just another couple of customers, one sushi chef and one waitress. It's quite a big place.
