I've been lied to, hit with fees that were "forgotten" until after an application had already been submitted, and basically harassed 24/7 by brokers asking if I'm ready to sign on a unit they didn't even show up to - just had the tenants let me in.  Please know that the little things (even salutations on email and text - wow. The amount of times I'd get a text at 10pm like "hey guys can u see 123 main st. tonight? -Jim from xyz realty" from random numbers after an online inquiry) are so appreciated, and make renters feel a lot more confident in the process. So kudos, I really appreciate the transparency and responsiveness. I'm really looking forward to having Edge as property managers as well, given how smoothly this went! Can't overstate the amount of stress that takes off my shoulders."

The manager Andy proceeded to push on me it was my issue now because they did their part. The new maintenance company is trying to get another cleaning in but probably not going to fix the deep urine issue inbetted in carpet. Zero accountability. Zero care. Stayed in hotel last night. I remembered calling and leaving a voicemail message with Southpaw about my desire to find a property management company to help me rent out and manage my unit...and..to my surprise, I got a call the same day back..and all within several hours when I totally wasn't expecting it! Within a few days...I worked with Kyle to sign my rental agreement, provide him information and access to my rental unit...and the unit was already rented out...all within 24 hours of signing my agreement to have Kyle manage my property! Wow..I was impressed! What impressed me more was Kyle's ability to manage rental properties. He took great care of tenants and property owners alike. He's fair..and not just siding with either side. He is not hesitant to tell me as an owner what I needed to do to make sure my tenants are happy (and he's happy to do the same to keep me happy dealing withe thing from repair to HOA as well). I am also very happy to see that...with Southpaw...the need to manage my rental property or handhold anything..is pretty much nil! Kyle took care of everything! And..I just saw..that I recently gave a consent to continue renting out my unit/extend rental offers to my current tenants..and he already had them signed extending for another year of rental at my unit ahead of expiration of an existing lease! From the outside, The Towers looks relatively impressive: modern lobby, concierge, indoor pool. And…read morethe location is certainly convenient. Unfortunately, step inside an apartment and it's quickly apparent that these buildings have seen their better days. The kitchens are what you might expect in a student apartment in Allston; the cheapest grade of Home Depot cabinetry, dated appliances, water damage on the unit I saw with huge stains. The units have cheap popcorn ceilings and tacky white wall-to-wall carpeting, the kind you might find in your grandmother's Florida retirement village--in fact, that is an apt description for the entire place. I was ready to overlook all of these deficits just for the pool and the location but I discovered the real downside--a building manager who played a shell game, shifting back the promised availability of a unit first by two weeks, then three, then five, before it finally became apparent she did not know when it would be ready. In the meantime (three weeks), she kept stringing me along. When I finally pressed for something in writing, she insisted on a check for $1,900 immediately, refusing to offer a lease, contract, or any document. When I tried to post-date the check a week to give time to put something in writing, she gave the unit to another sucker. This person has apparently run the building nearly since its inception and she is as dated in her management style as the property. Then I read some comments online about the amount of time it took for maintenance requests (over a month) and it became apparent that she had done me a favor...and now I am trying to do the same for you.
