The stylists themselves have always been kind and do their best, but they often seem overwhelmed and unsupported. The actual color service has generally been fine, but the overall experience has consistently been frustrating. Some of the recurring issues I've experienced include: The app frequently does not work properly for scheduling appointments. I've arrived and been told they had the wrong appointment time for me. Long wait times have repeatedly made me late for work. No hot water -- this has happened twice on very cold days. I was told they had been requesting a new water heater for months. Washing hair with cold water in the winter is unacceptable. My computer charger broke because one of the outlets was extremely tight. Staff attempted to contact a manager about reimbursement, but I never heard back. Appointments are often delayed or disrupted because a staff member has called out at the last minute. There is no way to reach a live person by phone when issues come up. The fact that this is my first Yelp review ever really says a lot. I truly want this place to succeed, but it feels like both the staff and customers deserve better support and management. I keep saying I'm not going to return, but I still have the membership, which is the only reason I've continued coming back.

The stylist only straightened the mid-lengths and ends, leaving the top 2-3 inches at the roots curly and frizzy. When she pointed this out, the stylist said it was "because her hair is curly." She explained that she had plenty of blowouts before and that the roots are always smoothed. He offered to flat iron it, but that's not what she wanted. She expected a proper blowout, not bone-straight hair. When she told him that he should've been upfront if he couldn't do a blowout, he got defensive and raised his voice. She wasn't going to let anyone speak to her disrespectfully, so she raised her voice too. At that point, the other stylist stepped in to re-wet her hair, and my wife used her own curly hair products and just left with her hair natural. Then she looked at our son's haircut and it was visibly uneven and crooked. When she brought it up, both stylists insisted it was "just the way curly hair looks" or that she was "pulling on a strand." That wasn't the case, it was just a bad, rushed cut. They did offer to fix it, but by then she'd lost all confidence in their ability to do so. If you don't know how to properly work with curly hair, cutting it or blowing it out , just say so. This wasn't our first time here, and her previous experience was decent, but this visit was disappointing. It felt rushed and careless, and that simply doesn't work with curly hair. We won't be coming back.

I asked for the curl expert because I have really fine curly hair which can get frizzy, and if not cut properly look awkward. I was guided to Elizabeth and so finally on Tuesday, today, I got to see her to fix this mess lol. The salon was pretty empty which I liked, and they get you in the shampoo chair as soon as you get in. This was one of THE best shampoos I have gotten, albeit a bit rough, but it sure gets all that product residue out. Their products smell AMAZING!!! This day I got the perk of a free heat deep conditioner, which I welcomed happily. They were a bit short staffed so that was the perk and I didn't mind waiting. This hair needed some love! While I was under the dryer I saw Evelyn work on some people and she is efficient and knows what to do with all hair types. I watched her put in some extensions and they were flawless. I was excited to be next! She asked me what I needed and I explained my last hair cut wasn't layered enough. She went in, worked her magic and immediately I felt my curls bounce back! Just with a good cut! She asked me first the length prior to cutting and I was happy with her suggestion. I had to get back to work so I didn't have time for a blow out, but she put some product in my hair, clipped it up and stuck me under the dryer so the curls can have some form. All I can say is GRACIAS BELLA!!! She was efficient, attentive, sweet, and knowledgeable!! I have a wedding to go in a few weeks and most certainly will be back to get it styled.
