Awful, awful, awful. Never do business with this company. I ordered a dishwasher through Applicance Connection in the middle of May, and due to Covid interrupting the supply chain it was well over a month before the thing was ready to ship. That's no one's fault. I got an email saying the YF Logistics would be delivering it between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm on June 23, which is a ridiculous time for a delivery but whatever, I figured they were backlogged due to the virus and working long hours to get caught up. On the day, I was tracking the delivery truck throughout the day. I was supposed to be stop #27. Something apparently happened at stop #25 and the truck couldn't go any further. No one called to let me know what was going on. I waited until 1:00 am before calling it a day.
Then the nightmare started of trying to get hold of someone to find out what was going on and when I could expect delivery. I called multiple times and waited on hold for at least 30 minutes, but no one ever picked up the phone. I left messages in the chat box on their website, but no one ever responded. Finally I started badgering the help desk at Appliances Connection, and they were able to get a response. On July 10, the thing was finally delivered. I figured this was the end of the saga.
I was wrong. The guys who installed it clearly had ZERO idea how to do it correctly. First of all, they told me the electrical outlet was not powerful enough to run the thing and would need to be replaced. I called the electrician in a panic after they left and was told this was nonsense. He suggested plugging a vacuum cleaner into the outlet, and if it worked there was enough enough power to run the dishwasher. I tried it, and it worked. So that was one sign of incompetence.
Next, there are apparently a set of feet on the bottom that need to be deployed to keep the thing from tipping over. These were not deployed, and the thing tipped over multiple times. They are now deployed properly (another handyman I had in the house for a different reason took care of that for me).
And then this past weekend, I learned that the connection from the hose that drains the water out was incorrectly installed, and all of the water that was in the dishwasher sprayed out across my basement, soaking a rug and messing up the walls. I had to have a plumber come in today to re-install it properly and add some gizmo that provided an air gap. This is the first I've heard of such a thing because these supposedly "professional installers" I hired to install the dishwasher had no idea what they were doing. I paid $150 for their "white glove" installation service, and then had to pay an additional $340 to the plumber to fix their mistakes. I have a ticket open with Appliance Connection to see if I can get that money back, but I'm not holding my breath.
tl;dr This company is completely awful and you should avoid doing business with them AT ALL COSTS. read more
