So this summer, I made sure to visit right before the buzzer: we went on the very last day they were open. But they were definitely not just winding down for their last few hours - it was like a party here. When I first walked up, I was told by a very enthusiastic, and very out of breath girl, that I could play against one of the staff members in a game of pickleball or connect 4 and win a free snow cone. I had my son with me and couldn't really lose sight of him while involved in a competitive pickleball game, so they suggested connect 4. They even gave my son something to color while I played. Well, I blew the game and lost. But they still gave me a free shaved ice anyway. And by the way, it was awesome. I will definitely not be waiting until the last day of summer to visit next year. They have approximately 487 flavor options and they use blue bell ice cream if you so choose to add that. We sat at a picnic table and went to town on our deliciousness as we watched people playing games, listening to music and living their best summer lives. I now understand why the reviews are so great here and am looking forward to May already!

I went with salted caramel pretzel, cake batter and white chocolate mousse as my 3 bases and then filled the bowl with about 15 different toppings until they were practically spilling over the edge. And I had no regrets -- everything was delicious. There are 4 locations around here but this is the closest one to our house. I will happily return again. We have been going on rides in and around The Woodlands since we got the Harley Trike, usually getting an ice cream from DQ near the end of the ride. Tonight we started the ride with milk shakes from The Milkshake Factory. This is a BIG STEP UP from Dairy Queen near the house. I got the mint chip shake ($6.95) and my Wife got a plain Chocolate shake (also 6.95). After getting our shakes (in under two minutes) we headed outside to a bench nearby to enjoy them. Mine was creamy with bits of chocolate bouncing up a rather large bore straw that held firm to a big pull. Apparently someone at Corporate has a clue about what constitutes a proper milkshake straw. I tried a sip of my Wife's chocolate shake and it was also creamy with a chocolaty finish that let you know it was milk chocolate. Both of these were premium shakes that did not disappoint the taste buds or texture of the pull. While I would not go here often, the shakes are rich, I would make it a place to consider for an after meal treat from time to time. Their menu is large for a speciality shop and their chocolate bar samples were tasty as well. They are in the Kroger Shopping Center off of Gosling and Research Forest on the Shadowbend side of Kroger. Most nights they are open until 10pm.
