Why 5 stars? Because this is everything you want in a shaved ice place. --- --- --- Last summer, I wanted to visit Lottie's, but I waited too long and saw that they shut down right before school starts back up. So this summer, I made sure to visit right before the buzzer: we went on the very last day they were open. But they were definitely not just winding down for their last few hours - it was like a party here. When I first walked up, I was told by a very enthusiastic, and very out of breath girl, that I could play against one of the staff members in a game of pickleball or connect 4 and win a free snow cone. I had my son with me and couldn't really lose sight of him while involved in a competitive pickleball game, so they suggested connect 4. They even gave my son something to color while I played. Well, I blew the game and lost. But they still gave me a free shaved ice anyway. And by the way, it was awesome. I will definitely not be waiting until the last day of summer to visit next year. They have approximately 487 flavor options and they use blue bell ice cream if you so choose to add that. We sat at a picnic table and went to town on our deliciousness as we watched people playing games, listening to music and living their best summer lives. I now understand why the reviews are so great here and am looking forward to May already! read more

My granddaughter wanted to stop in here and she thought my wife and I would really enjoy what they had to offer. Well, she was absolutely right! Lottie's is run by a 9th grade student, Lottie who has been doing this since she was very young. She went from one flavor to 177 sugar free flavors of absolute deliciousness. There are three different sizes to choose from and her menu is broken up into color of the shaved ice options to make it easier to decide on what you want and she has even taken it a step farther by offering suggestions on her menu board of flavors that go well together and has even given them some very creative names. Lottie's is only open May 24th though August 10th and during the hot Texas summer, this is where you want to be for a cool and refreshing treat. read more

My daughter and I have always loved shaved ice/snowballs/snow cones/snow, so finding our go-to spot was essential when we moved to Conroe from Kingwood. And I am happy to say Lottie's has become one of our favorite spots these last five years. There's honestly SO many good things to say. It's hard to narrow it down. Some highlights: The ice or "snow" is fantastic. It's soft, not crunchy, and it does not melt too quicky. Syrups are delicious and house-made, and there are dye-free and "minus the shooger" options available. The menu board recaps the numerous offerings, including toppings and suggested combos (with fun names), in a kid-friendly way. Portions are plentiful and pricing is reasonable. While I occasionally opt for a medium just because I love them that much, a small is honestly a plenty big portion for most (even big snow fans like myself). Lottie thought through so much with her design, including putting cut-outs in the picnic tables so your snow won't topple over. She also provides baby wipes at the tables for when napkins just don't cut it. Added bonus: there are games and there is space for kids to be kids. Customer service is friendly, and even when there is a line, I do not feel we have ever waited an exuberant amount of time. There is a clear indicator that kindness is a core principle at Lottie's, and I am here for it. The only cons I can note: Lottie's isn't open year-round. Good for my waistline and budget, but my tastebuds would certainly indulge more often if they could. Parking is sometimes tricky on a busy day, but it is not unruly. We have such an appreciation for Lottie's, and I have enjoyed watching Lottie grow up alongside her business. I find her history as a young entrepreneur fascinating and inspirational for my daughter (she hopes to open a restaurant one day). The customer service could improve in terms of making friendly conversation with customers, in my personal experience, during check out, and ensuring the team is on the same page with the rewards point system as I know it has had some changes from online to a punch card. We love supporting local businesses, and heard great things about the snow ones from Lottie's, so we made the drive up and it did not disappoint! The small was HUGE (my kids thought I got them a large each), and there was plenty of syrup! The ice was creamy, the texture was perfect! We will be back again! read more

My first experience was on Mother's day and it was great! They gave me mine free which was super sweet. I didn't realize how big their sno cones were! They are definitely worth the price. They don't skimp on the syrup at all, and the flavors were very good also. The area is fun for both kids and adults. They even give wipes for every table to get your hands clean and unsticky. The best fine shaved ice I've ever had, we have lived in Conroe for less than two years & just discovered this place last night! We went an hour before close and felt bad because I know how stressful closing times can be, it was nice to be CPD enjoying his snow cone while enjoying mine! My boyfriend loved the Pineapple, and I loved my strawberry shortcake with cream! Mediums were huge and certainly enough. We are going for large next time with two flavors. Let's begin with the snow cones... amazing shaved ice and an abundance of flavors to please even the pickiest of eaters. Throw in the selection of sugar free options, and you can find yourself standing and staring at the options for five minutes before walking to the window to place your order. Got a hankering for a pickle juice snow cone... they can handle that. Want something you have never tried before... ask for the "gray stuff." Now, let's talk about the business model at Lottie's. Folks, this place is owned and run by a third grader. With that said, when you sit and take in what she has achieved and what she is learning (along with help from her mom), we should all be supporting Lottie's! This kid has thought of everything from fun color changing spoons, picnic tables with holes cut in them to place your cup and they won't tip over, plenty of camp chairs to hang out in, trash cans, water bottles when it's hot.... the list goes on. The snow cones are fabulous. Without a doubt. Huge portions for the price! But, I will continue to drive out of my way to support a kid and her dream. I am head-over-heels in love with this place!! I consider my a snow cone/ shaved it aficionado. And I have traveled up to 40 miles, on several different occasions, to get a great snow cone. I look for the perfect texture of ice that's not too hard that the syrup just falls to the bottom on the cup. But also not too soft that the mixture becomes a slushy (before I'm ready for it to be). I had the fortune of going to Lottie's a week ago. My wife heard this amazing story from one of her friends, about a family run shaved ice stand, not too far from our home. So, of course, we went immediately! With tempered expectations, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor combinations that was available. After noticing the price of the "tiny", I made the tough decision to try multiple flavors. But after receiving my first order, I realized "tiny" didn't really indicate the actual size. It would easily be a medium at other places, that didn't use those cool tulip cups that Lottie's do. So I only had two that day. And they both were PERFECT! Soft ice, that held each flavor in its place, to give the ability to taste each wonderful flavor separately. Then when I mixed the flavors together, it was the a perfect blend on ice and syrup. This place is magical. It has excellent snow cones and a massive selection of flavors. The small little details from the cups to the color changing spoons really add so much to this place. I don't think anyone can try all the flavors in a single lifetime. We tried the dreamsicle with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and the rainbow snow cone. The dreamsicle was incredible.
