My wife always enjoyed the soup selections and we both shared an appreciation of their delicious pies.

Really surprised at how crunchy the fried food stayed and how runny the poached eggs stayed even over delivery. Oh it also came with a blueberry muffin which had a nice, crunchy sugar topping. Would definitely get this meal again. They even packed Utensils and napkins without even asking, seems nowadays you don't get them unless you ask and I always forget. Next time I think I'll try in person to see what the restaurant is like.

So glad this place is in the woodlands. Cupcakes are a must try too. So fresh, and the icing is some of the best you will ever eat. I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.

It does make it a little bit noisy if you came for a regular meal. That said, it's almost like it started as a country cafe restaurant and grew into a sports bar. The menu actually offers typical Texas meals like chicken fried steak for less than they sell a burger. A restaurant in transition? I don't know... I wanted to see how they do with the classics so I ordered the chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes are about 50% cheddar cheese. certainly edible without any other addition. The meat was good quality, tender, good flavor. Could have used some butter on the Mexican street corn. Overall a good value at 16 dollars. Non smoking. Happy hour from 4 to 7.

You get your choice of sides and tater tots are a yummy option. The coleslaw is crunchy and creamy and the fish is to die for, you get three big giant battered white fish filets and it's plenty for two or three depending on your appetite. The shrimp cocktail sauce reminds me of my all time favorite Pete's Fish-n-Chips sauce back home (an institution in Phoenix) now I wish Woodson's had some fried shrimp too. We will be back again next week if we don't make it to our church fish fry!

Our savory fan favorites are the kids chicken Alfredo (hold the mushrooms), Philly cheesesteak, the steakhouse, & the aforementioned dessert. Freebie nights (sometimes not even requiring a purchase) can be overly crowded. So opt for Wednesday if you have littles each adult entree allows a free kids meal. The restaurant offers a comfortable yet semi elegant environment and feel. No need to dress up, but I wouldn't wear your worst. The menu offers kids meals but this is a date night place. Alma was our waitress and provided excellent service! We started with an old school gin martini. Gin, splash of vermouth, an olive and a twist of lemon. The first one was terrible. The bartender added lemon juice to it when we wanted lemon twist. That said, they made it right and it turned out delicious! We ordered the calamari to go along with our drink, but got the calamari early, so we had to eat it while it was hot. Needless to say, it took a while for our drink to come out and then be remade. The calamari was good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my other half ordered the petit filet. Presentation on the plate was great! The chicken fried steak was good, but very thin. The mashed potatoes and green beans were great. The wedge salad my other half got with his steak was wonderful. The blue cheese was very mild and excellent (and I'm not a blue cheese fan)! The petit filet was cooked perfectly but the risotto was clumpy and mushy. I hate to say this, but the steak was good, but not $50 good. My other half said it was kind of bland. Overall, this is a good little place. We do plan to go back and try other menu items like the seafood tacos or the almond crusted red snapper. We also want to enjoy the live pianist on Thursday nights. Give it a go!
