The food came out fast, which was great. The pizza was decent, and I ordered the meatball sub, which was good and satisfying. It's a nice spot overall, relaxed and easy for a casual dinner. Nothing stood out as a major downside on this visit--just a straightforward, pleasant meal with quick service and solid food.

Whether it's a mid-week dinner or a weekend hangout, they managed to nail the "elevated neighborhood gem" vibe perfectly. The Food The star of the show is undoubtedly the wood-fired pizza. You can taste the authenticity in the crust--perfectly charred with that signature smoky finish you can only get from a real wood oven. The toppings are fresh, and the balance of flavors shows they aren't just making pizza; they're perfecting it. On the lighter (but equally delicious) side, the fish tacos are a standout. It's rare to find a wood-fired joint that treats seafood with this much respect. The fish is always flaky and fresh, complemented by bright, crisp toppings that make for a perfect contrast to the rich, smoky pizzas. The Service What truly sets Elliot's apart, though, is the bar staff. The service here is consistently top-notch. The team is incredibly knowledgeable--whether you're looking for a specific craft beer pairing or a recommendation from their cocktail list, they know the menu inside and out. It's the kind of place where the staff makes you feel like a regular from your very first visit. Final Verdict: Excellent food, a great tap list, and a team that actually knows their stuff. Elliot's is easily a 5-star experience.

The drinks also are incredible and the interior vibe is funky and fun. Service was friendly and prompt, but the fact that the restaurant does NOT allow reservations is a HUGE deterrent. My friend group planned our visit and drove a long distance to dine here. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour and a half for a table. The restaurant did not have an adequate waiting space so we had to stand outside in the cool evening temperatures with our group including pregnant and disabled women. I certainly hope the restaurant will consider reservation options; this would allow us to visit much more frequently! Perhaps reservations could require a credit card hold and a late fee - just anything that keeps groups from having to wait so long would be wonderful! This place deserves 5 stars if they could resolve the reservation issue!

We came in when they were super busy, and there was a short wait while they cleaned more flight glasses. Instead of rushing or brushing it off, the owner personally came out, comped our flight, and spent time walking us through the history and story behind each beer. That level of hospitality is rare -- and it made the experience even better. You can tell there's a ton of passion behind everything they do here. Can't recommend this place enough. We'll absolutely be back

We also had the Potstickers as an appetizer. In the past we have also shared the mussels. How has our experience at the Old Bag of Nails Pub rated? Well, I love the Fish & Chips with Shrimp, the wife loved her burger, their slaw is top notch, and we both love the mussels, so the food gets a solid 5. The facility is very nice and we rate it a 4+. Our waitresses have been great, all 3 times, and they get a solid 5. The price we've paid for what we have received is very fair, so we rate this a 5. Overall, all of our experience's at this facility have been great and we rate our overall experiences here a solid 5. Will we return to the Old Bag of Nails Pub? We sure will! Sure we are 30 minutes away, but it's worth the time and drive for what they provide! See you soon!

Tonight was like eating dried out chicken, very dry and rubbery and tough with no seasoning, I couldnt even get the vinegar to add flavor or salt. I let my Wife try it thinking it was me, nope it was the fish she said it was old fish reheated. I paid my bill and asked the waitress if they changed their fish? I explained how dry and rubbery it was, she told me they switched and will be going back to Haddock fish next month. So a word to future patrons, before you order ask if they have or are serving the Haddock before you place your order. So disappointing as I was hungering for some good fish and had a coupon for captain Ds in the car but chose Old Bag Of Nails instead. Also the tables are sticky, like your hands, arms etc stick like sticky spray is all over the table. Ive heard and read others complain and nothing being done about it, its like the tables need refinished or something. Id put table clothes on if they cant afford to replace the table, then again maybe why they went with cheaper fish. ??

I don't know who is advising you on your new business model, but changing your menu was the worst thing you did. You had a good menu, you just needed to be consistent with preparing it. And the prices were a bit high for Buckeye Lake. I don't mind paying for good food, but when the quality went down, that's when we stopped coming back. You were offering specials from time to time, which were good!! And the live music was awesome. You also got rid of the best person working there. Nate the bartender. You people just don't know a good thing when you've got it. But, at our last visit, I see you saw the error of your ways. Sorry, I really hate to leave this kind of review, but you need to know. You took a nice "upper scale" restaurant and ruined it with that awful food. It's not the actual offerings, it's the quality of the food. Kinda reminds me of the food you get at a stand in an amusement park. My family owned a restaurant for many years, so this review isn't from just one unhappy customer.

We opted for $5 cheese curds, which are similar To cheese sticks! Also got the brussel sprouts. We had to send them back as they were still hard and didn't seem cooked. The second batch was a little better. The spicy sauce paired well. I got the 10oz ribeye with garlic butter, green beans and mashed potatoes. The meal was delicious! The steak had a good seasoning and the garlic butter paired perfectly! Will definitely be back!
