We had friends in town and decided to ride the seawall in Vancouver. It's a great 10k flat ride that has gorgeous views. There are a lot of bike shops to rent from in Vancouver. What I liked about this so is all the single rider bikes are the same price. They get cheaper each hour you ride them. As well the price includes the helmet basket and a map. The bikes themselves are in good condition and they were perfect for touring around town. Service was good and they were patient on making sure the bike was the right fit. read more

No real wait, helpful staff, got in and out quickly. Bikes were good and didn't have a bunch of ads or the company logo flashing so you don't scream tourist! Helmets and locks come with the bikes but we found we didn't really need either. They charge by the 15 min increment so you can return the bike as soon or as long as you want. Can't say enough good about our experience with Yes Cycle. First of all, they have 4 spots where you can park for free(27,28,29,30) in the parking garage that is directly below their shop. You access the garage off of Alberni St. very close to the corner with Denman. The spots are in the 2nd level down (P2) and if you park there, you do not need to take a ticket from the little pay-for-parking machine or put anything on your dashboard. Very convenient if you are one of the lucky ones to get a spot. It's not highly advertised that they have free parking on the webpage. It seems you have to know where to go to get it. There are small signs in the parking garage, but too hard to see from you car. They were very helpful and friendly. I was concerned regarding having back problems, and not wanting a bike where I had to lean forward and they fit me with a "cruiser" where I was completely upright. The bikes are NICE. Very smooth riding with gears that shift easily and excellent brakes. My bike had many more gears than I needed. With your rental they give you a helmet, bike lock, and basket. It was great. To get to the seawall, just ride in the bike lane down Alberni and it directly places you on the Stanley Park Bike Path. You can make a perfect loop in about an hour easily. As soon as we pulled back up to the shop, someone came out to check in our bikes. They only charge on the quarter hour so you are not having to check the time constantly. I really think they are doing an excellent job and can't say they need to change anything that they are doing. I would make a point to rent from them again. read more

Haven't ridden a bike for a long time. Went on a quick weekend getaway to Vancouver recently and tried to rent a bike from this place to explore Stanley park. These guys knows what they're doing and made the process super easy. The staff outside very knowledgeable with the bike and were able to explain everything you need to know. Spokes was super full across the street, and the prices were a few bucks higher. Yes Cycle were helpful, friendly and gave my group a 10% discount because i complimented the eyes of a staff member (they were gorgeous!!) They fitted us to the right bikes and even helped when one of our group had a problem with her helmet. No paying til we return, and we were a few minutes into the new pay rate but they let us go with the mid rate. Awesome! read more

Yes Cycle is the place to go! I chose this bike rental shop because of its reviews on here and was so happy with my decision. The prices are very simple - $7 per person - and you pay when you come back for however long you were gone rather than deciding ahead of time how many hours you want to be gone. This was really nice because I didn't have to keep checking my watch or rushing to make sure I got back on time; you just go for however long you want and come back when you're done. Yes Cycle is also one of the closest bike shops to Stanley Park (just one intersection away). The check in and out processes were very quick - you just give them your credit card information, they give you a helmet and a bike and a basket if you want one (no charge), and you're off! When you come back, you just bring them the bike, pay, and that's it. I have read reviews from other bike shops in Vancouver saying they had trouble paying at the end because they are given weird additional charges or charged for too long ), but yesterday at Yes Cycle I actually paid a lot less than I expected. They told me that I was gone an hour when, because of minor check in and check out times, I had assumed that they were going to charge me for an hour and a half or at least an hour and fifteen. The staff were very friendly and I was so pleased with my experience with them! The only complaint I had was that they didn't adjust our seats before we went out, but I also should have asked. I didn't realize until we were on the seawall that the seats were quite low, but it wasn't a big deal and that's something that if I had asked before leaving, they would have done that for me. Just make sure that your bike is right for you before heading out and it should be a great experience! read more

I'm a Vancouverite and I'm telling you these guys are your 1st choice. These guys were great! I phoned ahead as we were a group of 9. They had us on bikes. in helmets with baskets and locks so quick I couldn't believe it. As I started to take a group pic their staff jumped in and said let us take it for you. When we returned it was also super quick and easy. Not tons of paperwork either. And they support the homeless in Vancouver. The shop across the street is bigger, but also tends to be incredibly busy due to its prominent location. If you want to get going quickly, go to Yes Cycle. And for a pro tip - head west on Alberni to get into the park (follow the green bike lane straight into the park) rather than walking your bike across Georgia and getting on on busy Denman or at a busy walk/bike section of the seawall at the foot of Denman. We rented 6 bikes to ride arond Stanley Park. We all loved our bikes and the ease at which they operated. Definitely a smooth ride. We had bikes from age 10, 12, 16, 20 and mid 40's :-) The location is great, cause you can ride to Stanley Park without going on sidewalks or thur traffic. read more

$25 for a 24-hour rental - deal! Well, I would certainly have liked cheaper since I wanted the bike for several days, but this seemed to be the best deal around. The bike shops a few blocks away were charging $48 for just 12-hours, and even the shop across the street from Yes was way more expensive. The service was really friendly and my bike was comfy and well-maintained. Also, while I was returning my bike, a runner tripped and fell in front of the store and the worker invited her in to use their first aid kit. Nice job, Yes! read more

These guys are fantastic for ski rentals! We had our family of two adults and 3 kids get our ski rentals here. Affordable rentals and amazing service. Our flight had lost one of our bags so we needed kid goggles, ski pants, gloves, as well as the usual skis and boots. The reasons why we choose Yes Cycle for the first place are the great location and longer opening hour than others; also they have super fare rate. Now their service definitely will keep me back there. Last week we had a flat tire in the middle of the sea wall in Stanley Park, after we contact with the owner of the Yes Cycle shop, he drove his truck to pick us up immediately. He also waved all the rental charge, which he doesn't have to. So due to his great service and attitude, he changed our disappointing experience into a positive one. They were super nice! I went inside and filled out a form, they took a credit card copy (which they later shredded when I returned the bikes) then my friends and I got our bikes. I liked my bike because it had a comfortable seat. The nice guy with glasses made jokes and gave us directions as to where to go. I'm going again tomorrow (Sunday) with my friends! read more

The Yes Cycle website needs to be updated. It is explicitly stated that they offer dog carriers and baskets for rental, so I brought my dog down with me. After I get there and pick out my bike and "dog carrier" on the registration app, I am informed that the "dog carrier" is not actually for dogs, but only for children. It was lucky that the shop across the street offered the service. One of the staff was relatively nice and suggested to check the store across the street when I asked. Prices seemed reasonable, but then again I didn't get a chance to try out the service. read more

Do not rent here! My friend and I rented a tandem and the bike was not properly inspected. It was wobbly due to a mechanical issue and we ended up crashing within a block of the shop. I was thrown over the front of the handle bars. We brought the bike back and the man working there that gave us the bike noticed the mechanical issue after the fact. I've ridden a tandem bike twice before and my friend and I are very experienced cyclists. After the crash I was laying over in pain and the shop employees were no help. I didn't know that there are unisex boots and women's boots. Apparently they only have unisex boots, which hurt my calves on the mountain. I think they only stock one type of boots and skis. I had to rent another set of boots in Whistler. Yes Cycle wouldn't cut me a break on the boots even though I didn't use them. read more
