But there were no taxis at the station (or could I see a sign for a taxi rank or find anyone to ask other than getting behind a long line at the ticket kiosk), none on the end of the road from the station and none near the shopping centre - all places where you would expect to find one. After asking several people who all sent me in different directions, I found a policeman who directed me to Parkers Cars. I explained my predicament that I was now late for a meeting - it's now raining too- and the lady understood. She was straight on the phone to find a driver for me, talking to me in between calls the whole time, showing complete empathy.
