The cars are usually both presentable and punctual, often a rarity in local taxi firms. Recommended for anyone in the area. One thing is, from personal experience if you ask for a quote over the 'phone they obviously oblige and that's how much you get charged (essential for any important pre -booking obviously) However if you just state a destination and don't ask for a price, often the driver will charge less than the office would quote. I'm not sure why, I'm not sure if they should, but they do.

Even the drivers are quite chatty (which is good and bad in equal measure). Anyway, these guys are pretty reliable and the taxis always seem in good condition. Their fares are staggeringly low and I never feel like I am getting ripped off. One minor criticism: I'm always shocked by how the drivers struggle to find my address. Living in an apartment isn't that odd and my building has been here for 7 years.

Formed, funnily enough by the merger of Bearwood Cars and Blue Sky Taxis, this company are always polite on the phone, employ friendly drivers who know their way around and, best of all, are pretty cheap. I've used them many times and it's very rarely cost over a tenner to get me home (some taxi drivers have wanted up to £20 for the same journey). One good thing about this company is that they have no qualms about coming to pick you up from Birmingham, even if you didn't use them to get there in the first place - something which have happened to me with other taxi firms in the past.

Unfortunately ABM don't seem to value their existing customers enough to prioritise pre bookings. Our taxi ended up turning up over two and a half hours late, leaving us standing in the cold for this entire time as each time we called the company to see where the service we had already paid for was, we were given an arbitrary time of between 10 and 20 minutes away. I understand delay on a busy night of the year but when you pre book and pre pay for a service to avoid delay, there is not really an excuse. Appalling customer service by the team in the office who told us to take it up with the taxi driver, which we weren't going to do as it clearly wasn't his fault. Ironically we received an automated text when we got back home saying "Book now to avoid disappointment" for future journeys. Very disappointed.

Eventually they sent taxi out to pick us up but thia was after waiting about 1 hour 15 minutes! - Will never this taxi firm again
